Curious. If I have an Iphone/Android Phone that has mobile Internet access, a WiFi Router that does not have Internet access eg router is not connected to Internet can I use the IPhone Internet connection to Chromecast to the TV? Or would I need two Iphones with one serving as a mobile access point and the other casting to the TV?

If your iPhone is transmitting a hotspot and the Chromecast is connected to that hotspot, then you cannot use that iPhone to cast since it is not connected to its own hotspot and therefore not on the same wifi as the Chromecast. You could on another phone connected to the first phone's hotspot.

Yes, screen cast is capable in iPhone but you have to do it true the Google home app.

No, it doesn’t do screen mirroring with an iPhone. You’d have to get a lightning to HDMI adapter to plug your phone into your tv.

I'm here because I couldn't get my Chromecast to connect.. well I figured it out..I had to delete my account in Google Home. I changed my phone changed my passwords on my Google accounts and hotspot. That's why I couldn't connect. Once I deleted the information I added it back in and connected just fine. It was not easy to figure out . It was a nightmare

I'm powering my chromecast 3rd gen using a ps3 slim front usb port with the ps3 switched on. Apparently the Ps3 usb ports output 5v at 900mA. The official chromecast wall plug is 1A, but the ps3 usb port works fine, so it appears the chromecast 3rdG doesn't require 1Amp.

As far as I know u cannot. However I have heard some say u can trick ur home WiFi network to connect to ur hotspot that has the same ssid name and password as ur wifi home network. I tried it and it doesn’t work for me.

Your TV and phone need to be on the same network. Most people would use their home WiFi to connect the two, but if you don’t have a router because you don’t have internet at your house, I’m not sure if you can use your phone’s hotspot or not.

My phone has the Mirror Screen. I have the IPhone 11. The updated one. So it might work to Mirror your screen to the Comcast and wouldn't work for the older version.

Its does not have Bluetooth as the audio will come out from your TV. So if you have Bluetooth on TV (or attach a Bluetooth transmitter) to TV then u can use Bluetooth headphones.

Smart TV's can natively do casting without the Chromecast but they have a lot of connection issues which is why he recommended using the Chromecast even if you have a Smart TV that can do it already
