I've quit classic to play onbere. Why? Because you have plenty of to max out and get to experience vanilla raids since they've yet to progress any further. Max level is 60 currently but with wrath pre patch game changes. Also, the lfg tool exists here and it's nice to have after playing classic without it. When I started, I noticed that warlocks void walker actually holds threat unlike classic servers where the best aggro holder is the hunter pet. Someone also sent me 2 wands to get me started with 5 flaks of oil for them. Leveling has been a blast for me so far as a warlock. The transmog system is also a fantastic touch and should be implemented on other wrath servers and even classic retail. The population is around 1k players per day. Increasing at around noon pacific day time.

Chromiecraft seems to have a unique approach, I really like the idea of taking your time to appreciate each bracket content while nowadays people tend to rush in any Themepark so they can reach the endgame as fast as they can.

As someone who roleplays, I love it. How do I explain? At the Classic Launch, I roleplayed as reluctant Priest, who refused to train evil spells like [Shadow Word Pain]. I picked herbs for cash, and bought [Thunder Ale] and [Rhapsody Malt] to share with other players. I was quickly left in the dust by NPC-like players, who were unable to Roleplay as anything else but Normal Realms MARY SUES. I was all alone. Strangely enough, I discovered the secret to being judged well by the graveyard Kyrian. My character died and went to heaven, while everyone else went to the Hell of Molten Core for their greed. Forcing everyone to slow down and live in the now, is probably a good thing.

This is kinda how i played wow back in the day. Stopping at every pvp bracket and collecting a few twink items then farming BGs. This is such a good idea. Did they start at 19?

@@joe1478 no because we use CFBG and our BG queue system balancer to make every BG as balanced as possible (of course we can't control if people quit etc...)

Can anyone with experience on the server or this type of server tell me if it's worth it to play if I just want to PvE? It sounds super cool that it has so many phases and it's still so early so everyone is gonna be on similar pages, but I'm really not interested in twinking for PvP. Really not interested in PvP and it feels to a degree that's the whole focus of the server.

Been playing for a couple months. Started when it was capped at lvl 19 and quit for a short time before coming back for lvl 29 and 39. Honestly the tiered system makes having two or more geared out characters more manageable, though this won’t be the case for newer players as the server will continue to raise the cap.

Hi Hamsterwheel! Thanks for the content, im currently on Warmane Lordaeron Im lvl 68, just got to Northrend. Should I change to this server? I really like the leveling process and the lore. Some end content I had to skip for example riding in Vanilla and TBC content.

yeah I would definitely re-do it on this server, then you don't have to skip content, and in turn you even get more of the Lore content, and it's less stress due to it being no emphasis on rushing through the content, you can actually stop and take the time to smell the roses along the way and even get deeper into the Lore than you ever have before.

Re-joined the server mid November 2023, max lvl is 70 and around 500-600 people playing.

This server has a good community, however, it has many drawbacks that can bother you as a player looking for entertainment. They don't have many developers, the progression is very slow, with an update every two months. Sometimes they struggle to fix bugs, as they are very inexperienced. I advise you not to play on this server, you will waste your time for nothing.

After visiting the site and checking out the latest 20-29 update video from the Dev team, I've come to realize something interesting about this awesome Private server. this is not a sever for Mid/Maxer's this is not a server for those who play Wow for 8 to 12 hours a day this is more for your causal player really, 'don't have time to play 8 to 19 hours a day?...no problem we're not going anywhere, take your time level at your own pace, and since Blizz originally dumbed the game down for the larger casual crowd, this is actually the game for them...lol, Go figure.

The whole gear balancing thing in bg’s while leveling is such a great idea. I would do it as soon as I got a bit bored on live servers if this was a thing.. Now I just feel like it’s best to wait untill endgame before starting doing any pvp at all. Great vid btw, as always

The open source part is what made me pick up the server, even if it might be for a on/off bases. Imagine if over a decade of programming was shared and improved on! New expansions are far too complicated and the retail Classic seems like a dumpster fire where Blizzard cares less than private server staff. So I really do hope that ChomieCraft succeeds and people will support it.

Evere 2 months or so it moves to next bracket (from 29 to 39. And next month (2nd of July) it moves from 39 to 49).

nah none, just use a different password on every pserver you play.

Use a VPN to download the client, or at the very least delete the torrent and don't seed it for long. Don't download any client (without VPN) that has obvious trackable names.

Seems like a cool one yes. Warmane is so horrible. Now they instead of having 2 or 3 mbxers per faction on each WG battle, now there are dozens of them with x5 chars because the gms capped them off to a limit of 5 chars so now the mbxers hate for everything and everyone is hitting the ceeling. It's by far the worst wow server i have ever experienced.

I'd like to see a private server with different options for guild set ups. Right now guild design is essentially a dictatorship. I'd love to see guilds with in-game systems that force either republic-like leader election systems, communal systems without any leaders, embedded groups within guilds, hierarchies, dual-leaders, relationships options (such as ally or trade agreement) with other guilds. Right now many of these occur outside of the game but nothing in game supports anything other than a guild caste system with 1 GM. Imagine a WoW where a casual communal guild without ranks that can ally a tier structured guild that is looking for extra players to fill raid slots. It wouldn't be perfect but it would give players more freedom to choose the type of community they want to be in while they are playing the game.

Interesting but to me it will depend in how long they take to up the lvl cap, It will be good to know a "maximum" time since to me a couple of weeks would be enough time in each lvl cap, any ideas about this? How long it took the first up?
