"Walk along the floor; Dance on my head." To me, these few seconds of >this< version of >this< song are the very essence of Deine Lakaien. Alexander Veljanov's voice at its most "seducing" moment (phrasing care of a dear friend of mine) - still kinda Goth, but having learned (as an Autodidact) SO MUCH MORE about what his voice can do since their first album, when he was still trying to sound like all the other Gothlings out there. Ernst Horn, hard at work in his "Laboratory", creating soundscapes and rhythms no one had ever heard before. Michael Popp on Hurdy-gurdy, being the utter musical genius he is, and Christian Komorowski, rocking the living daylights out of his violin and red vinyl pants. I was there in Germany for a good chunk of their history, but I truly wish I could have seen them at >this< point in their career, with >this< line-up. Three of the literal BEST musicians in the world, and a singer who could (and did) charm the pants off of everyone he came across, at only 5'4" (not including his hairstyle, which >did< reflect his opinion on Society)

Ich suche eine andere Version dieses Liedes. Vllt. kann mir jemand helfen? In meiner frühen Pubertät bis späten Jugend war ich der Gothszene völlig verfallen und noch immer schlägt mein Herz ein paar Oktaven höher wenn ich in alten Erinnerungen und Kamellen schwelge. Die Version, welche ich suche war auf einer CD vom Zillo Magazin (glaube ich) und mehr acoustic / stripped back, man konnte die Kälte förmlich spüren, der Gesang ganz klar und vordergründig, gleichzeitig andächtig und imposant. Ich kann es leider nicht besser beschreiben, aber vllt. weiß ja jemand was ich meine. Wäre sehr dankbar. ❤
