Is this the answer? - Reduced left knee control during stance phase (extensor thrust), reduced right hip flexion during swing phase, R hip hiking and anterior pelvic tilting. Early toe-off on Left LL could be due to a compensatory excessive knee flexion for LL clearance. Hip hiking on the right is also for LL clearance. Not very sure how the anterior pelvic tilting affects gait.

I'm a stroke patient with a right paralysis. Muscle strength is not bad. I'm walking with a cane. When you walk, you don't touch your heels first, touch the soles of your feet first, and then touch the entire soles of your feet. Muscle tension increases when walking. When muscle tension increases, toes and ankles cannot move freely. If the tension goes up, the toes bend. As you walk with a cane, your paralytic leg goes forward, and you gradually take a tandem gait. As a result, muscle tension gradually increases and anxiety increases. It's inconvenient to walk in a straight line. Is there a good way to exercise in this case? I think it's similar in the video right now. My English is very poor. I tried to convey it as much as possible using a translator, but please understand that I am not good at it. I really need your help.

I had a stroke and survived. Now I want to improve my walking gait. I often state that I 'forgot' how to walk normally. Can remembering 'the normal gate' improve my gait?

Being thoughtful about your gait pattern certainly can improve your gait mechanics! It is not uncommon for someone to forget how to walk after surviving a stroke. We recommend following up with a local physical therapist in your area to provide professional training on how to improve your gait.

@@MissionGait Was the lack of knee flexion in het right leg a compensation, to decrease the step length? Or was the lack of knee flexion there because of a contracture/shortening of the hamstrings?
