Had the same experience here in Ireland, was an embarrassing (expensive /private) consultation I had to endure, was told the chronic pain was all in my head. Yet, the pain specialist administered nine spinal injections, nothing to do mental issues, which i don't have. Stay strong ,keep moving and motivated plz .

I love that story of perseverance and finding someone to treat you properly. How did you find the spinal injections as far as pain reduction and how long does it last?

That is so frustrating Patrick. Chronic pain can be maddening And made even worse when you don't feel like the medical community is taking you seriously.

Thank you for sharing I recently got discharged from my entire practice where I was getting all of my care from because I requested a new rheumatologist my rheumatologist was iam biatch too and because I expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction as her patient she had me banned from the entire practice she was very dismissive of my pain and symptoms she was such a bitch and I’m also very polite so I expressed my concerns in a very professional way but they took it as I breached patient doctor relationship which was bs so now I’m making a formal complain with the department of health. Gotta be our own advocates and stick together because some of these doctors don’t give a shit and on top of what we already have to deal with they don’t make it easy for us. It’s very frustrating that I now have to look for new doctors and start all over again.

I'm so sorry you had that experience that is so frustrating and unfair. I work with doctors all the time and most of them are wonderful but I know firsthand that there are some that I would never want to have look after me. Keep fighting for yourself. Maybe it will turn out that you find an absolutely wonderful rheumatologist after all this and it will make it worth it
