OK, so the title sounds a bit dramatic, but it's true.
For 6 years we have been making hookah bowls, by hand, using American Clay, in the US.
Other companies have decided to capitalize on this and take the easy road, the road to China.
Don't sell yourself short. You deserve a real hookah bowl, like a Harmony Bowl, 80feet bowl, Alien Bowl or a Ferris bowl, all created by HookahJohn.

Oke John here is a solution for you. Show some entrepreneurship here, you can do better than this. Instead of making yourself look ridiculous just say: "Hey let's get these guys and do something about it". Lower your prices to a normal price range and for gods sake make a list of international resellers of your brand and drop it down here. I live in the Netherlands and its a fucking quest everytime i have to find some HJ stuff in Europe.

just boycott people which Arent servicing as they should to their cu base. wish and aliexpress will whoop their asses in the next few years and this is in all areas. i live in switzerland and to be honest i dont mind if a reseller is earning like 30-60% margin but i will never allow them to earn 400-1000% by just having a stock when i can order everything with a credit Card and receive it 10 days later in my mail. and as i read he doesnt even care and is not offering customer service so why should you buy his stuff?

He is totally right tho. You need clay to cycle heat around, to both conserve and get rid of it. Cheap ceramic gets extremely hot, burns the tobacco, and even breaks. If you know ANYTHING about hookah's, you'll realize how stupid your comment was

Funnel style bowls work better with modern shisha brands like fumari and starbuzz by trapping the juice in the bowl instead allowing it to drip down through the holes and into the base. Nothing wrong with Egyptian style bowls but funnel bowls will be more efficient.

You know that flavor saver you got I realized that I've been doing that for a long time now I just use the mettle screen that's used as a replacement for foil but I use foil flip that screen upside down so it makes a gap boom flavor saver hahah and I'm going to pick up a new bowl I got to see what they look like

Informative video. I have seen many bowls in my entire 20 years as a hookah smoker, but one thing is clear that not many customers out there want to spend $27 on just a head (bowl) almost half the price of a hookah. I have at least 15 hookah john bowls in stock and I haven’t sold one, I am using them for myself ;) I wish people would appreciate the hard work put into just about anything. One thing is for sure, you get what you paid for. I recently placed an order for ATH bowls, going to try them, hopefully they are as good as some of my other favorite bowls.

I agree that the BRmade ones uses porcelain instead of clay, so it's not so good as the HJ stuff. But here in Brasil it's very difficult to find the Alien and Harmony bowl being sold, and when we find, it's R$ 130-150 when the BRmade ones are R$ 30-40. But here we have some other alternatives handmade by artisans with clay like the MukaBowl Predator (R$ 70), that kicks the ass of Alien in the movie. Regards

i really think it depends on how you smoke. we smoke hard and need a good thick bowl to keep from burning it all up. but some ppl smoke much lighter and i have senn bowls/coals kinda "go out" on them. the cheap ones are good for those ppl since they take longer to cool at the top .

100% agree because I've smoked lots of different bowls. I live in San Francisco, most of my friends as well as myself have different bowls, we go to smoke lounges and try new equipment as well. Stay away from Chinese porcelain bowls they are a waste of money. Anyone will tell you heat management is key and HookahJohn bowls are some of the best (arguably the best) for heat management and build quality on the market period.

80feetbowl sounds like the idea for the name came from the word airyfeek... hookah john was sitting in his office one day when one of his workers came in and was like sir "I can't grab the things you asked for because they're 80 feet high" and at the time hookah john was still deciding a name for the bowl (which would soon be named 80feetbowl) and hookah john being hookah john replied with "airy feek ya sharmouta" and then it hit him... airyfeek.... 80feet VOILA the 80feetbowl was named

Speaking from Malaysia. Bought a phunnel bowl here which is made in China. Used it, the first 30min smoke is smooth and flavorful, but once you turn/ash your coal and put it back onto the bowl, your shisha is flavor is burned out already. Used Double/triple layer heavy-duty foil, tried less coals at a time. But no such has helped. The bowl itself gets very hot and burns out the flavor very quickly. Don't get fooled, I must say Chinese bowls feel and look premium high quality, but they are really not. The material they use is very low/rubbish quality.

as hard as it is for me to believe that the price of his bowls is justified, I must admit that his bowls have no match, the quality of hookah sessions with these bowls is MILES away from any other bowls on the market. So if you're wondering if it is worth it to pay 24 bucks (or 27 pounds if you buy it in the UK)- YES IT IS! The quality is worth the extra money.

I wont be buying a Chinese bowl but there are other quality bowls beside hookah john that are made in the U.S. also from my smoking experience the regular red clay bowls that come with KM hookahs are just fine for starting out. That being said the HJ bowls are definitely quality and worth the money as are the titanium coals which are some of the best on the market.

I agree with hookah john on this one.I am a sucker for cheap Chinese products, as a result I bought one of these bowls from ebay for $13 and its base is so huge it does not fit onto any of my grommets. Eventually I had to use paper towel to stabilize the bowl. It does not smoke any better and it gets really hot. You do not even get what you pay for. So in this case its best to buy high quality products from trusted sellers.

as shisha bar master i can tell, in the sound of the clay is explained all the quality! high sound means high silicon content, easy cracks and high thermal dispersion. a deep tone means high grane quality, perfect chemical structure and perfect heat management. don't buy china products, any. There is no control of the materials, some can contain heavy metals that are released during the use, cause the clay releases volatile substances also after is burned in the kiln. 5 stars for hookajohn. * * * * *
