First, excellent job with editing the phone content into the episode! Second, it seems clear from the app during the episode that scanning clues adds 5 minutes of time each whether they're right or wrong. So that's the penalty involved in scanning something wrong.

My wife and I actually played this case last night and got the same score as you guys! What's cool is there were several pieces that we discovered in a completely different order and in different ways. This system is so cool with branching paths and ways to accomplish things and figure things out. Brilliant

I played again the scenario and this is what you missed (spoilers): After talking to the murderer's wife, where she refuses to talk, you can ask the criminologist and he will suggest you ask the officer to invite the husband so you can talk to her. In fact, maybe the officer should not have told you to do this since you did not receive the hint before (bug?). Then of course the suitcase at the crime scene contains documents that link the thief to the victim. Once you open the suitcase and get the evidence, you can show it to the thief and she will confess, claiming she was blackmailed and trying to protect her father. Also the bullets at the crime scene. If you show this evidence to the murderer's wife, she will confirm her husband had a gun of this type. Of course the phone GPS also linked the 3 suspects, but that I think you found. Finally if you ask the witness about the car, he will say that the murderer had a black sedan, which the murderers wife will also confirm her husband drove the black sedan today. Anyways, just a comment to confirm it was all there , and it is possible to solve all the crime if you dont miss anything. But great video, and great game.

I LOVE THIS GAME. I first played it at GenCon with David Cicurel and it has recently become one of my wife and I's favorite games to play together. It truly shines with two players. I've actually been kind of afraid to play it with 4 because it seems like there wouldn't be enough for everyone to do. It may just depend on the group though. Anyway this game has me so excited to introduce new gamers to everything that modern board games can be! It's awesome!

This was fun, but frustrating (in a good way) to watch. I love detective stories and games, so this was right up my alley. I kept making suggestions, got frustrated when they missed things(those gold coins), and laughed at their weird tangents. This game interests me, but I'm not how the app would play with my group. The alpha game issue could also be a problem. Thanks for the game!

I think Kevin wins the English accent contest (v.funny) at least not every character sounds like a toff with a plum in their mouths. Nikki and Lincoln seemed a bit reluctant but I can understand that as my American accent seems to morph into English/Welsh/Irish/Australian pretty quickly. Another great episode and game.

When I play that game, I write down some key notes about every person and every item....while reading the information carefully. Doing that you can get important hints like a) the cameras of the museum filmed a thin person...which directly was a hint to the daughter of Cunningham. b) the drunken man saw a black limousine driving away...which made us search for the person who possesses that car. Unfortunately, we didnt really think about "inviting" the husband to scotland yard in order to talk to the wife. So as we found ourselves in a dead end, we guessed some stuff so in the end a) were in time b) found the thieve c) knew that the father knows the Code d) did not find the murderer e) did not even manage to get to the location of the treasure Well, it was already a bit late and my wife wanted to solve (guess) the case, so although the boss invited the husband, we just wanted to enter the solution. So we keep in mind, ....that a case can be longer than we think even on easy level. ...that it's important to scan the correct card (we didnt scan Cunningham but the item card about the code)

That was the impression i got when i played it for the first time. I don't see why it needed the physical components since it's basically an app game. It wasn't fun to play with more players.
@keel17015 жыл бұрын
Well, because of the codes, you can ask pretty much anyone about anything. If it was ALL in the app, then it would have to either include literally every topic in a drop down menu and search through/click everything, or only include the relevant ones which would limit the discovery/problem solving. As for there being no point in physical components, with how some apps are these days you could make that argument about literally every game I think. I look at this game as watching Diagnosis Murder or Monk or Law & Order with my wife, which we love to do. We always try to figure out what happened before the end of the episode and this gives that same feeling.

Only one big issue i have with this game (besides the small Viewer Device not working bugs). The ability to solve a case is great but the satisfaction of being able to finalize your findings by arresting someone is not there and it sucks big time. To solve a case or show your findings just isnt as satisfying as it needs to be. The ability to try and get a good time is almost pointless too as there is no tracking system for this or a save feature to show how well you improved etc.. small but big niggles.
@austinpowersfasjer5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately most 'evidence' they found out was circumstantial. They did not find a gun, and did not see the shell casings. The man failed to identify the shooter. He did have motive and opportunity but i dont believe that would be enough for a conviction. Also its impossible with the current facts to prove the girl robbed the artifact. There was 0 clue there was blackmail in play, which made it difficult. Her going to Mont blanc and cancelling, and connecting that to the rope is too circumstancial. It was fun anyway! Maybe ill buy it and have a crack myself
