Magus didn't burn down a village and incapacitate the hero. Magus wasn't as myserious or did much work during the game's run time from the shadows. Sephiroth was also creepy in his harrassments. Magus' goal was simply open-ended/ or else he wouldn't have been playable

Very nicely done and great use of chromatic aberration. The dark matter, frost arc, and lavos summoning scenes look especially fantastic. All of the animations and effects are faithful to the original. I love the attention to detail.

Square despises turn based RPGs now, which is why all ther ff games are real time hack and slashs and why they abandoned Chrono trigger remake, they would never allow one to go out , octopath might be the final exception as even if it sells well square will shrug it off and continue there ways, it best they don't touch Chrono as they will just force it to become there new hack and slash rpg like FF 7

Playing it on SNES is still fun but this is amazing! I love the 3d environment, 2d sprites and dynamic camera. The camera adds so much more to the dialogue. This is probably the best way to remake the 16 bit jrpg classics, the sprites were so gorgeous that 3d models never do them justice. Cell shading might do pretty good for Crono's style but this style here is so slick.
