Now THIS is how you end a musical. Everything wrapped up perfectly, frog turning back into a human (somehow, I mean magus is still alive so that doesn’t really make any sense), and robo is now a smol bean. I love this musical, and I want to say thank you, on behalf of us all, for not giving up on this.

Robo isn't actually a smol bean, if you see the ending you see robo with atropos in the saved 2300 A.D with his normal size Lucca either made robo herself to ensure he exists in the new future or she made a copy of him.

The PS1 anime-style ending also implies he regained human form in spite of sparing Magus. It's never made exactly clear how.

Unless I'm mistaken, Magus never SPECIFICALLY said he HAD to die for the curse to be lifted, just that killing him would undo the curse (Which I took as it was merely ONE option). For all we know, Magus could have the power to reverse the spell and just changed him back because their battle was over and he had no further animosity with Glenn.

Not sure if it was intended, but at 2:07 when Glenn begins, both him and Magus' lyrics could be seen as them reconciling with eachother. Frogs "Anyone can do what's right, long as there's a spec of light" is acknowledging Magus as someone who, despite his wrong doings, does have a kind heart. Same with Magus' "Even when your hopes seem gone, always time to journey on" is a complete turn around from his belief before of "The future refuses change" in his first song. When I listen to his line, I see it as him praising Glenn for continuing to push through the worst of times, and coming out the other side a stronger person. Again, not sure if that was the intention with those lines, but that's how I see it And it's kinda beautiful. Either way, amazing job to all the folks at MOTI for this amazing work! The last four years of following this project has been amazing!! And I can't wait to see the full musical when it comes out. Peace! ✌️

I was introduced to this musical during the 2 year hiatus. I was still living with my parents, who were split up so I had to travel a lot. This game was one of the few stars in the blackened sky that was my life. Over the course of the musical, I've been through a lot. I've been wanting to make my own RPG since my childhood, and up until 2019, I was making little to no progress. Now I have the story and formulas down and I just need an artist to put it together. Chrono Trigger helped me find faith in myself, and this musical does the game justice.

There were times during the break that I was worried Chrono Trigger was forgotten about and would never be completed, but I'm so glad you did. Some of my favorite songs are from post-break, and I'm sure many others feel the same. Thank you for giving this to us, it's been one hell of a ride. Can't wait to see what comes next.

The part that hits me the hardest when listening is how Magus sounds so much freer than he ever has. Being able to help destroy the monster that ruined his whole life gave him a future to strive for, rather than a past he had to strive against. I can’t help but feel The part about finding your purpose in life, rather than waiting for it to find you, and then seeing where it takes you, is also a powerful one. I never even tried to have one until a couple years ago, when I lost my mom. She always did things with her life, and I didn’t understand why because all I could ever muster up the energy to do was endure and keep going. It wasn’t until after she was gone that I realized I needed to do more than that. And I have been, though I’m not very good at it yet. I didn’t realize until after watching this video that the reason I was able to keep going because she always shared her passion and drive with me freely, expecting nothing in return. It made such a difference without me ever realizing it. And some part of me wanted to keep that going though I didn’t really know how or why, just that I had to do it. To pick up the torch she was no longer able to carry. This is just such a beautiful song, to inspire such realization. Thanks to everyone who helped bring it forth, and who worked on the whole project.

Though I wish they would've let us control Crono, Marle, and Lucca again to deal with the happy ending override consequences of meddling in the timelines rather than Serge, I'm sure it's a good game in it's own right. Unfortunately, I only got through about one tenth of the way through before I had to return the copy I had to the video store, and never picked it up again, so I have no idea what it's like except through spoiling myself on the internet. Also, maybe put a spoiler tag on your comment for people who are new to the series? 😅

The musical is finally completed. I didn't know of this content until this year, but you really have to respect and admire the intent of staying the course after knowing that it took four years to complete. This song came out as expected: a masterpiece. So many characters brought to life, some in unimaginable ways. Frog/Glenn, Magus and Ayla in particular stuck out to me, and this musical reminded me how great of a character Frog is, so to see his efforts rewarded properly, the cutscene where he is Knighted, and the artwork of him turning back into a human, all left a tear in my eye 🥲. I legit got the shudders when I saw this video was uploaded; I felt so emotional listening to the song; I was thoroughly pleased with the story told by this song. It signifies an end while also a new beginning for all our heroes. So amazing, and so worth the wait! And like Undertale, it feels that you're also passing a message to us viewers; that we can be the change for a better future. I remember halfway through the musical getting Chrono Trigger for myself, and it’s one of my favorite JRPGs, if not video games in general. As songs came on, you guys never failed to deliver in art and music. Like many others, I was sad to see the musical was going on hiatus, but I was hopeful it would be a month or two. Two years go by, with the release of The Story So Far, and WOW the break was worth it for what we got. I've always been a big fan of this game and I think it's absurd that there's nothing but the 1995 game like an anime or a movie and this musical gave me something more!

I found the Chrono Trigger Musical by chance one day and now this has gotten me to want to play through Chrono Trigger. Made me love a really cool game and believe that you did a great job with the Chrono Trigger Musical.

@@xemnaseast2762 Doubtful and I will say as a GAME it isn't half bad (even if it kinda uses up it's payload too early and the rest plods on) but as a SEQUEL it sucks to the point where there is no association the fans will ever give it to Chrono Trigger. Edit: ALSO the Dalton ending is one only gained from a New Game+ (least in the OG) so further non-canon.

Fantastic. What a great way to send off this series of songs, for a game that's so dear to my heart, and I'd say the best RPG of all time. Dunno if it's a bit soon to be making suggestions for a new project, but I'd like to suggest the Blaster Master Zero trilogy, at least for a Musical Bytes series. The trilogy has a lot of bangers, and the love story across three games about a young couple fighting across the galaxy to protect each other would be perfect for a musical.
