Glycine sub for the win! Definitely the best brand in the 2-500 range. Also, can we talk about how slim and comfortable the case is? Under 11mm for an automatic dive watch is my favorite part of these watches.

I'm honestly shocked it hasn't picked up more steam. There isn't much to not like about it. The thinness is VERY impressive. Even quartz dive watches are chunkier.

Invicta itself is a respected legacy Swiss brand that went defunct, then bought by an American company that is the modern Invicta. But they still make some good watches like the pro diver

Mido is really good for affordable range. As to Gycine, people forget Invicta is owned by an investment bank, they just want money. They bought Gycine for its name and reputation and said they were leaving it unchanged, but investing more money into expanding production.

The Airman was the first GMT watch, even before the Rolex GMT, so it is full of heritage. And the combat sub is one of the thinnest 200m dive watches I know. On the top of that, I am one of the few that think Invicta has respected the reputation of glycine, and even adding a bit to it. Have you check the new vintagy 40mm Combat classic moonphase, yet? 😊

Don't put down or minimize the Invicta brand. They make some great looking more traditional watches, many are great homage of Rolex submariners, Date-Just, and others with a dependable customized Seiko movement and a display back.
