Great video, though General Electric wouldn't buy RCA, and by extension NBC, until the mid-80s, decades after the chimes were developed. The fact that the notes are G-E-C turned out to be a happy coincidence but nothing more.

RCA was originally owned by GE, Westinghouse, and a few other companies owning minority stakes. Eventually, GE, Westinghouse, and other stakeholders spun RCA off into s separate company.
