Resetting the HV battery disconnect lock has been the fix on plenty hybrids ..we don't know y but the do-it-yourselfer seldom reconnects the lock the way it is supposed to be connected and causes a not ready light/condition.. and winds up having to bring it to the professionals

Lol good question! My scanner is tiny and in my pocket 24/7, I keep that band around it so once I'm connected to a car ot stays on my hand as a reminder not to forget my vci!
