Wow Interesting vid ? The 96 Grand Sport was given to me back in 2009 or 10 / And ive still got it. I took out the seats and have used it to haul my drum set, Carpentry tools, Camping Gear, Lumber, furniture, and to Travel and Campervan set up. It just keeps running real good.

you've gotta admit that back in the day this was the best looking minivan on the road, way better than the pitiful ford aerostar

It still is even today. Like a Lincoln Town Car it just has a timeless look to it or something. I personally have a 98 Grand Caravan Sport (37,000 miles on it) and love it.

Although rusty, these vans still chug along in the rust belt states. These things have proven to be absolutely indestructible which is the only thing saving them from the crusher.

It’s funny, about half of them are like cockroaches and just will not die while the other half crap out at 100k because of their transmission.

I still think this minivans are cool, my mom had a 1999 T&C Limited, and had a pretty rough life with 2 teenagers using it for conmuting and trips ( I abused it quite lots), terrible brakes... OK handling... So-So reliabilty. We changed it for a Mazda 5 Touring... Not our favourite.

Anyone know why All Wheel Drive wasn't offered in 1996, but returned in 1997??
@dabnisbrickey65272 жыл бұрын
Maybe they needed extra time to design the all wheel drive components

"The minivan, the minivan, the minivan" It's obviously a DODGE GRAND CARAVAN, why aren't they able to just say the model name on a showcase of it?
@pilskadden5 жыл бұрын
Because it was also sold as the Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Voyager and Chrysler Town and Country.

This is the same frame that went into the Chrysler Town & Country and the Plymouth Grand Voyager...

You're a "jeep thing" and you didn't know that Chrysler had four parallel brands: Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth until 2001, and Eagle until 1999? And the Minivan was still dual-badged as Chrysler and Dodge until 2020?
@jeepthing9811 ай бұрын
Yes, I am well aware of the other Chrysler vans. Hope you felt smart putting out all that information @@straightpipediesel

Yes these were special...I want one of these to fix and paint into a hot rod for recreation and car shows. I'm so mad at Chrysler for killing the Caravan this year...that Pacifica is crap. I don't want to be the gullible mom who buys it and then has to deal with taking the whole engine apart just to change a headlight. Or the person who insists on having everything new just because it's new and then is scared to keep the car because they don't want to have to fix it.
