Chrysler cut so many corners on this transmission that I don't know why they thought there would be no problems. I was shocked to see the "fix" for one TCM Code on the 41TE by: Change fluid and filter, drive about 20 miles, then, change fluid & filter again! 4 generations of transmission fluid, a planetary gear & hub upgrade, a clutch count increase, numerous flash memory upgrades. Wow.

That van was so young when this video was made, and already having transmission issues. No wonder you never see these vans on the road anymore.

Thats strange, I have 2 of the RG vans with the 3.3 v6 and both transmissions are perfect, no problems at all. They are both 2003 models however.

The second generation ones like in this video disappeared by the late 2000's-early 2010's.

I ran a ground wire from the negitive battery post to the engine and transmission and most of the problems gone away.

There is an "adaptive neutral" concept described in some of their "electronic adaptive transaxle" 1980s patents, that gave me the impression that it was invented to wear one or more of the clutches on their soon to be produced back then A6XX series transmissions and their later derivatives, in "a better and faster way" at the expense of their past, present, or future customer base...Hope I am wrong here. Then later on, one discovers the issue with a certain kind of valve, in the valve bodies of those transaxles, that is doing its own jack of all trades things wearing itself and or its bore faster, and then jamming at the wrong place and time causing early? catastrophic Torque Converter Clutch Failure....IMHO No amount of frequent ATF+X fluid changes are likely to reduce or eliminate those and likely other design flaws....Great!!!

Wouldn't buy a Chrysler product after FIat bought the remaining stock, Fiat products are garbage.

It looks like their wire harnesses never had any kind of EMF protection/shielding; Likely other Car Mfrs have been guilty of this as well.
