The Ypsilon instrument cluster can still be repaired by certain specialists in the UK which is just as well because this car is no longer made and parts are difficult to source.
This Ypsilon didn't have an issue with the cluster as it turned out, the alternator failed and on this car this affects the instrument cluster thinking that was also an issue.

Mine isnt working.. the electrician says the instument needs to be sent off. My car has very low mileage and im concerned the mileage will be lost when its recoded. They say it will cost £500... how do i fix this cheaply?

Actronics are very resonable though they do require a garage to organise sending it to them - they might repair if you went to them but call them and see what they can suggest - Edd China used Actronics in one of his videos quite recently have a watch

Im afraid not, this model of BMW is fairly new to me and i haven't had any dealings with the blue n me module, there are some fantastic forums for BMW owners online id try there first as there seems to be nit a great deal of information on this model here on KZbin i hope you find the information you need all the best with it! 🙂
