I`m told that a significant risk factor between asbestos related lung diseases is nicotine . The Dr who told me in detailed explanation had been doing most of the autopsies from Wittenoom West Australia. As an ex-asbestos worker his words made sense to me.

Did you work with amphibole asbestos? Is it true that your risk of lung cancer increases the more you're exposed to amphibole asbestos or is your risk for lung cancer the same as an asbestos miner even if you had a brief exposure?

lots of emotive music and helpful categorisation but no explanation about what is meant by toxicity, , and no one mentioned any health and safety practices enforced by the factories. If I breath in zinc dust I will get just as ill (Zinc Flu)

While the video fails to explain the specifics of how asbestos is toxic and the exact breakdown of how it works, it does show the after effects and those greatly impacted by asbestos. I think both the emotional AND informational aspects are important. I've done much research on this topic, and this was the first piece demonstrating families directly effected. Powerful and moving.

As very much described in the video just precautions in the factory (changing clothes, having a proper mask) wouldn't fix the problem, because it is so widely used in the construction of houses. You change something in the building with just drilling up to demolition and you are immediately exposed to contaminated air.
