Anxiety is unending fear/panic and people who have mental illness/ tend go off their meds and they feel like they don’t need to take their meds anymore and that’s a major lie that they have believed and they justify the lies that that they are choosing to believe. And when people have mental illnesses they need to stay on their meds indefinitely:)@Chrystal Evans Hurst

Silence is what I choose and I'll choose it more often. I forgot I used to do this regularly. Monday I logged into my work computer, read 1 email and decided I couldn't do it. I left a message for my team, logged off, went back to sleep. I spent the day doing nothing, no TV, not talking. Someone knocked on my door -I didn't answer, I didn't even check to see who it was. I wasn't expecting anyone. Best day in a long time, woke up for Tuesday a little clearer in mind. I just have to figure out how to incorporate it weekly.

Sis!!! This is so good! For the last several months, I’ve made the decision to eliminate unnecessary hardships and I’ve recommitted to GOD’s easier yoke. More prayer. More walking outdoors. More gratitude practice. Less work. Sabbath practice. I feel sane again 😊🤣

Solitude really stands out for me. I feel like I’m always living for others. Caring so much for their wellbeing and I’m exhausted. I was praying to God in my heart that I need to live with myself in mind too. Then I found this video. God is good

#RichWord So needed this spiritual guidance as I am in a season of stewardship (Time, health, finances, etc.). I see the Lord positioning me for what he is calling me to do next, but there’s a “Clearing out” that is necessary in preparation. I do agree that the Lord will communicate to our bodies (i.e., Unwanted stress/anxiety, high blood pressure, unhealthy eating habits, etc.) when we are running on empty, and it’s not only an opportunity for us to refuel, but you refuel God’s way.

Oh my gosh this BROKE me. Solitude and silence and space all just hurt me to my core. I'm afraid my brain is demanding this of me now. I can't take it anymore. I don't know how to do this when I feel so lost. I feel God so angry with me. I really hate the "this is the only life you have don't waste it" truth because it's slipping through my fingers. Forgive my negativity but I feel so worn out and tired just so tired

#1 is creating Space to practice Silence, Solitude and Sabbath. I do practice the Sabbath regularly. I’ve read The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry twice via an audiobook (2 years in a row). May read and work on practicing the principles a bit more fully. It includes the S’s you speak of here I believe. Considering getting a print copy! This is a good and essential word Chrystal. Thank you! Shalom!

Praise the Lord for Sabbath!🎉 Sabbath for some of your Christian listeners is indeed Saturday i.e. from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. It is the most restful day of each week😊
@carolaspinall1965 Жыл бұрын
Another wisdom and practical filled message, thank you. When I trained as a counsellor our tutor shared the thought of resting from counselling every 7th week, God's pattern is just this, sabbath is the 7th day, fields were rested on the 7th year. If it works for God then it will work for us too. I used to block out the multiples of 7 in my calendar at the beginning of the year. Following God's plan is life enriching. 🥰🙏🏻

Chrystal...been searching everywhere for your planner!!! Can't wait to get it!!! I listened to the ruthless elimination of hurry on audible on the way home from an out of town wedding. I immediately hit my closet and donated lots of clothes and shoes. Still a work in progress. Silence is the biggest challenge for me. I have been doing child care since I was 13. Had a full-time job in high school and two in college always busy always nuts and silence has never been easy for me. Definitely want to work on that. Thank you so much such a wonderful message especially at this time of year. So grateful for all of your insight and the way you share it so clearly.

Wow! I find it so interesting that God brought me to this video today, after I spent 3 days by myself considering the solitude and silence in my life! Thanks for posting it! I'm a senior lady, who been living alone for the last 7 years. I sit 2 of my grandchildren 4 days a week (which change occasionally (the days, not the grandsons! lol! But, in all this time, I've never spent any time considering my solitude, and what God has brought me to this point in life for. I am finishing up one OBS and about to start your next one, and ran into this video through the emails from that. I have lived alone for several years before today with a few spans of a friend living nearby and helping me get to church in a Covid-sequestered world. But, during this time of solitude, I've increased my Bible studies, personal worship time, and personal prayer time. Because our churches in our town insisted on folks wearing masks until just recently (which exacerbates my asthma) and because I live in a hilly city, I have been unable to start going back to a church for the last two years. I attend an online church, and have connected to the pastors there, so I can get counsel if I need it for something, but solitude has been a prominent feature in my life. During the last 5 years, I also underwent trials with my daughter becoming an addict and going on the street, and my going to live with their dad. My grandsons suffered from violence and isolation by their dad (even keeping them from going to school), and ended up in a foster home, with a violent foster mother. I prayed for the next 3 years for God to do something, and (I won't give you the whole story, cause it's very long) but, I witnessed miracle after miracle, which got my daughter sober and off the street, and the boys home to live with her. I've pretty much trusted God since I was 5, but didn't really know him until the last 5 years, but my life has changed so much since I did. And, has changed a LOT more since this show of his love, mercy, and power. Now, at this point, He's talking to me about my solitude, and so I am truly thrilled that he brought me here. Don't know what is next or where the road leads from here, but this confirmed something is going on in my spiritual life. Amazing! Thanks so much! God lbess!

Crystal, this is so helpful for me and full of so much wisdom. It’s so true that the the world and the enemy screams at us to be busy and to be afraid or worried. You’re sisters study on Sabbath really helped me not to feel guilt about taking a weekly Sabbath and that why God commands it. I think I still struggle with the guilt in more subtle ways and this practical insight is like a friend reminding me of truth and wisdom. Your videos encourage me and help so much!

Thank you so much for this encouragement. I appreciated hearing this teaching that is like a needful chiropractic adjustment to my soul. This priceless instruction is for the direction I must choose to embrace. My heart desires to flourish in the vine of truth, not be separated eternally from it. I understand now how I have resisted the silence, solitude, and sabbath rest for five months now. My phone and TV have distracted and hindered all because I was unable to appreciate my singleness at this stage of my life. Today, however, I purposed to allow myself to engage with change by trusting the nuggets of wisdom you shared in this video.😅
