Thanks very much for your explanation. My dad also had the same issue for his new house in Vancouver twenty-five years ago. All windows had the same problem of water vapours in winter when heat was switched on. One of my friend also commented that the sealing of windows had problem. I didn't understand it at all until you explained it in details in the video.
Love the detective work that you have done, and the explanation. Seem like turning the heat very high in winter is a common problem -- especially someone has old people living in the house. Old people tend to feel cold all the time, and they prefer to keep the heat high.
It's common sense to not heat the house up to 26 degree in the middle of winter with a humidifier turned on. The owners must be literally burning money to keep warm in the winter.
