As a Thai who has learnt the language before, I guess he (and Nine) could pick up Chinese rapidly because Thai is a tonal language and thus has relatively similar pronunciation to Chinese. However, they’re still hard working & fast learners as can be seen from their improvement in vocabulary and grammar within few months.
