Trent is full of fish. Have you seen my other float fishing on the river films? More coming out soon to. 🎣 Thank you watching and let us know how you get on 👍🤞

Too right. In the 70's and 80's you had to be down very early to get a decent peg. Great days...

Hi Richard, yes daft 😁 maybe but very satisfying to catch nice fish on traditional styles on the Trent especially in winter. Looking forward to running a stick float through in the summer. Thank you for watching 🎣🐟👍

Enjoyed the video.It was interesting to see the roach were present although low in numbers.I fish at Colwick,and when October arrives the roach seem to disappear? I have a feeling they remain and the afternoon to last light is the best option.I have had success with bread punched in various sizes up to 20mm.The other bait is good old wheat,which I am going to try but flavoured this winter.Your feeder videos where very interesting too so more food for thought.Many thanks.

The Biggest Roach seem to feed in the last couple of hours of light. The Barbel did the same at the end of last season to.

Hi everyone, All stretches of rivers with a bit of ground work have fish to catch even in the dead of winter. Not everyone has a catch and release philosophy so if anyone recognises the river locations please don’t put it on the comments but would be great to see other anglers on the bank as I seem to the have Trent to myself most weeks 🎣 🎣🐟

Nice to see some older gear still doing the business. I still use an amorphous whisker stick rod with a 123M closed face when ever I can. Just found your channel and am local. What stretch did you film this on if you don't mind sharing?
@nottsfishingkbtv4023 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Ian,, nice tackle to use,,, weary about two legged predators but you can catch quality fish all over the Trent,, not easy this time year though. Had three short session blanks before success with this one.

Thanks Jake,,, Rivers are fishable after the recent floods so stick float fishing is a great way of spending a few hours in the English wilderness 🎣🐟

Super movie. What kind of fishing rod is it? Shimano?
@nottsfishingkbtv4023 жыл бұрын
Yes, 13ft Shimano Alivio,, lightweight, soft action and the eyes sit tall off the rod which helps trotting

Yes,, love stick floating fishing for big fish or nets of Roach. The reel is a Daiwa 125m closed face reel. Abu also make quality close face reels to.
