When I was in College an uncle in my neighbourhood approached me and showed me a photo of his dead daughter who resembled me. I got friendly with that uncle and brought him home. I introduced him to my parents also. He came out of depression. That uncle was pure hearted. He and his wife brought a cake for me on their dead daughter's birthday. Had he looked at me in a creepy manner, I would have misunderstood him as a stalker. In this short film, that uncle was seeming exactly like a stalker. He could have directly spoken to her. He should not followed her and stared at her like that. Some innocent men seem like stalkers. I guess we need to directly approach a person if our intentions are not wrong.

They should be more like men like me, if don't like it tell immediately and clarify things and don't carry boredom and if like it then clarify that also stop doing things that you might regret later and stop carrying things that disturb you mentally Many people might start saying things to me like it's not easy, you weren't in that situation so you don't understand etc etc I am currently 49 years old and have never had any regrets or any boredom in life except that of work just because I follow this technique and that is why even many of my coworkers look forward to me as a friend and teacher also and also have good relations with everyone because I have learnt to listen and speak at correct time and control myself in some of worst situations

But I feel that if the girl had established proper confronting communication with the uncle, this wouldn't have happened. The girl did it our of fear which disabled her from judging the situation through different perspectives. When she realised her top was torn, she could have thought that the uncle was trying to tell her the same, but she took it the other way Instead because of all the misleading news and chatters she heard. This shows a fear driven side of our society. It is neither the girl nor the uncle to be blamed. It's just the wrong practice we have of thinking that if one of the member is characterless then, all will be.
@sanjanakavale42573 жыл бұрын
@@likitadevi Why do you think the girl should communicate properly? It was the man who wanted to establish a relationship with her. He should have spoken to her properly instead of taking the stalker route. Imagine a situation where the man actually had bad intentions, then would you have gone and spoken to him? Nobody would have. So maybe you should see the situation from the girl's perspective. She didn't know whether the man had good intentions with her. She took it as a case of stalking and did the right thing.
@likitadevi3 жыл бұрын
@@sanjanakavale4257 Yes, the man did it the wrong way but if the girl had listened to him for at least once, everything could have been different and as the movie itself said, no matter how right you're, if you say it in wrong way, it has consequences. The man called the little girl in but there was no news of any child going missing, so, was our thought of man having bad intentions justified?
@sanjanakavale42573 жыл бұрын
@@likitadevi Maybe our conclusions of the man having bad intentions were flawed, but can you blame us? The way it was showed indicated bad intentions. There are many things that are just assumed when it comes to films. We have all been told, since we were children, not to accept chocolates from strangers or to go anywhere unaccompanied. So, when the child was shown going to the man's house, it's not wrong to assume he has bad intentions. They did not have to include any disappearance scene for us to make those conclusions. This scene was just used by the director for us to create a particular image of the man, which was supposed to be disproved as the film progresses so that there is at least some sense of suspense in the film. But, the way the film disproves it is completely wrong. They try to show it as the women's fault when it clearly isn't. That man is completely at fault here.

The uncle would have been alive had he approached the girl saying "beti". Baat wahi khatam. "Beti aap ke aane se mujhe meri beti ki kami kam mehsoos hoti hai aaj kal". Instead of silently following/stalking/chasing her and telling her that watching her makes his day. It's a clever short though, that shows intentionally/unintentionally how women always end up feeling guilty (despite taking proper action after having gone through all the signs of stalking etc. she feels guilty because uncle was "good", if somebody exhibited such behavior in real life no person is so gyani to see their good intentions) and how they are at fault (for not reporting/late report - the reason is always fear, it could get worse. Innumerable cases of harassment/acid attacks/molestation/rape are testimony to that fear). Also, it was a good touch showing how our bosses (regardless of gender) always shout in anger in front of everyone but when it comes to apologizing they do it in person, alone.

I think that communication is to best option to end such misunderstandings... if she would have talked to that man earlier in a normal way then things could have been pretty more clear... thrn her actions would have been more meaningful We girls live half of our lives in our head, thinking of whatever negative or positive thoughts that come in our mind. But we fail to see the reality, see the things as they are. Also fear is never good, as an educated woman we should not run away from anything that is not known to us just because our mind brings all the fear. She could have very normally confronted the person about his intentions.

I don't know what to make out of this movie. It is not always about truth. The topic is really sensitive and I feel there were so many instances from beginning where she felt uncomfortable and it was really evident even when the girl started running. Justifying emotions of the man just because the girl looked familiar to his daughter doesn't make everything right. It is unexplainable that he felt daughterly emotions towards the girl but he in fact made her uneasy when she did not wanted that affection or attention from him. So just saying that the stalker was a good stalker kuki usme use any beti dikhti thi kahi se shi nhi. It is a scary situation for another person and what matters is how u make her feel consciously /unconsciously through ur action.

This film just justifies stalking and harassment. Its advising women to shut up when they get harassed or stalked because the stalker may have a personal story? This film is non sensense

What crap is this? He clearly was stalking her, assuming this was his real daughter, how normal would it seem for him to stare at her all day long? For him to chase his real daughter everywhere? How do you even come up w/crap like this?

I totallt relate to SBP's character here. Growing up as a girl in this world, I had so many random boys/men lurking around, it has always been a challenge to tell who means harm from who means good. Being tomboyish and independent made me an even more alluring target to sick-minded individuals in my teenage and young adulthood years, which further raised my walls and get my arms ready for war. As a woman, you learn to listen to your gut instincts more than anything in every day situations, but this doesn't mean that you will always be in the right. Best thing you can do is protect yourself first, because everybody else has their own life to deal with and nobody is responsible for someone else's happiness. Thank you for this awesome production!

The way he was looking at her n following her, anyone would think he was a stalker No sympathy for uncle

This short film is spreading a very wrong message. The way this guy looks at the girl, it's very clear how pervert his nature was.
@abhishekchakraborty-holist13185 жыл бұрын
It will be better if you watch the movie again and check frame by frame how he looking to her. There is no vulgarity shown when his shorts are there, whereas when that guy standing beside the car and a girl pass by him there is a vulgarity. It just the suspense which makes you feel so. Joshi just loves to see her but it was nowhere close to perverting. Hope you got my point brother.

I think the director got confused by his own script. Reality is, a lot of men are confused about their own feelings and, because they don't really learn to find suitable ways to express themselves, they end up creeping/misleading/hurting other people. I don't feel sorry for the uncle at all here because he has already lived his life and all that. I think he should just leave the young woman alone instead of trying to burden/harass her with his memories and nostalgia. Also, I think that the uncle was mentally damaged. If he really had a healthy approach to his past, he could have gone to his son and daughter-in-law to live with them and get some support. Instead, he went into hikikomori (reclusive) mode and was looking from his balcony every day around to find a living replacement for his long gone daughter. He was already dead from society's and his family's perspective.

It is very much confusing coz of his action he can tell her clearly instead of making her uncomfortable .
Yes that was a bit wierd 😂😂😂 but I think the lady should have talked to the man... she might have not talked to the man because of the fear of society and other stuffs girls overthink all the time

If I was a girl, I would react exactly same as her as a total stranger who gets creepy looks from an old guy. The story is senseless.

Yeah but there r some sychos also...Like this one... U can't make out everything... Moral is...U shouldn't be prejudice... Even that was creepy and the girl's reaction was obvious but the man was in mental pain... ...He was alone....That's also not a lie...

I didn't understand when she caught that he is stalking her then she shouted on him which was totally right but suddenly she feels to say sorry because of her boss words ...uhh that's so wrong message dude coz that time she didn't even knew that this man was stalking coz she is also named meghna ... He could have tell her before instead of stalking (That small girls scene was so disturbing)
