I think he was talking about the clean slate he had planned. Blair told him she didn’t love him anymore, so he cobbled together a future with another woman. He’s not really processing his feelings at all and just kinda dumping his recovery on Eva. The minute she’s gone, he backslides into scheming.

I love that Blair and Chuck ended up together, I do, but I have to be honest that Chuck annoys me (well sometimes). Blair is always the one being left or blamed for things and here is Chuck trying to make Blair's life awful while he's the one who should be apologizing for probably 200 things he did to Blair. I feel bad for Blair because she's the one always having to deal with it. I do love them together and I see myself ALWAYS forgiving them and loving them together EVERY TIME again, but it's in moments like these when I'm annoyed hahaha.

what? She destroyed his new life and his new happiness for absolutly no reason. Of course she's being blamed. Why did she ask him to come back to NYC if it was to destroy him. He could have stayed in Europe with Eva. The only thing Blair had to do is move on with her life if Chuck is that much terrible of a person....

okay chuck was pretty bad in the previous seasons but in this particular season it was totally her fault if she really wanted to move on why would she do that to eva ? she just didn't want to admit that she loved and will always love him,although she's right to feel terrible that he's moving on while she couldn't nevertheless,i love them together cause even if no one wants to say it they're both toxic but they know each other and hence they can understand each other's actions.

Blair tricked Chuck and Eva left him. When he asked Blair if she still loved him, she lied and said no. So now he just assumes she did it out of hate or revenge. He’s getting even, but really they still love each other & can’t let go.

I don’t really understand why is he this mad at Blair, I mean I know about Eva but did he really love her that much? Because I don’t think he ever got that way when it was about Blair - I mean when she was the one he lost and someone else was the reason.

Okay, here's the thing. I don't think Chuck loved Eva that much. The case here seems to be about projection. Chuck loved Blair so endlessly and when they parted, he didn't know what to do about his feelings so he projected them towards Eva. Sudden break-ups or endings of a 'will they/won't they' relationship often leaves people with a sense of anti-climax to which it is normal to react by 'falling in love' with the next person they like or find attractive. Those feelings for the new person are not as deep as they believe and can easily be gone again. It's more like an emotional rebound caused by a butterfly effect. I'd know a bit about it, I've tried it myself and I've seen it happening to the guy I messed up with.

^^yup i agree. But to also add onto that, it seems like Chuck's emotions could have been heightened due to her saving his life and also the excitement of starting his life over. I don't think he loved her at all, he subconsciously just wanted to use her "angel" image as a way to show that he's changed for the better. The reason i think this is because when she's leaving he says something like "you're pure and perfect", which sounds like he just values her image rather than loving her for who she actually is.

@@AmberlaMaderia I totally agree. Just wanted to add, I think Chuck was hoping to find redemption through Eva. Like if he could win her love, he’d find peace again. He knows losing Blair basically ruined him emotionally, so he’s looking for it somewhere else. Anywhere else. But I don’t think Chuck loved Eva in the same way. She just represented an ideal in his mind. The moment she leaves, he basically asks Blair if there was any possibility she still loved him. Blair of course lies, because it’s Blair lmao, so he thinks she did it out of hate.
