The funny thing is, Serena wouldn’t have batted an eye if she found out her date was a chauffeur. She would’ve liked him for him- that was a really nice quality of hers. Louis was so sweet up until he turned evil Prince. I actually liked them together bc Chuck had so many chances to be with Blair and he crossed lines. But I still wanted Chair as end game. Louis definitely should’ve stopped pursuing Blair the second she didn’t pass the test of liking him for him instead of his social status. That was his fault for ignoring the red flags. He definitely deserved someone that loved him for him but how he iced Blair out was so cold. The writers definitely had to turn him into an evil prince in order for us to root for Blair and Chuck to be back together.

You know so far in this rewatch, I am realizing it’s not just Chuck that’s making the situation toxic. I originally thought Chuck was crazy and noncommittal until he changes after season 3. But in reality Blair definitely deserves some of the heat. I mean from the moment they’ve slept together, she has basically rejected him. She’s all like “Your disgusting and a degenerate! The idea of being with you makes my skin crawl.” That’s just not the best reaction for a guy that already hates himself. The first girl that he genuinely liked thinks he is a disgusting monster. And all she wants to do is get back with golden boy Nate. He will try and be genuine at first and she would reject him pretty harshly, that’s really is what makes him a toxic psycho (not excusing his behavior AT ALL. He’s still crazy). So then he starts scheming and manipulating, which only drives Blair further away from him. Anyway by the end of season 1, it’s honestly no surprised he ghosts her! Not because he’s Chuck Bass and a commitment phobe. But because he hates himself, and Blair has made it abundantly clear that she finds him repulsive most of the time. So the prospect of spending the summer together was horrifying. Yes, the girl he loved finally gave him a chance, but she can easily be in relationship with him and realize remind herself why she thinks he’s disgusting, and that would break him. So he’d rather just give it up. And while I totally totally understand Blair’s side. Chuck is a degenerate…. She has no reason to trust him, but the way she treats him is not okay. Like at minimum this is supposed to be her friend. Like if she really feels the way she be talking, then stand on business and stop being friends with the dude. But that’s her friend! And she never seemed to have a kind word to say about him. She never gave him any indication that she actually likes him as a person. That she actually enjoys his company. She certainly would never admit that she likes him and wants to be with him. So she will pimp him out to Vanessa, then backtrack when her feelings got in the way. Just to pretend that it is all a game to her. Chuck wants to hear those words because he has nothing to hold on to either. He also has no reason to trust Blair. I mean she’s been the one doing most of the rejecting at this point, and she talks crap about him all the time. So yeah, I’ve definitely understanding their dynamic a little better.

Actually chuck let eva go because he was thinking that blair still love him so he ran to her home to ask her if she still love him and 2 episodes later he was madly in love with her again and forgot everything about eva

大人の振りしてるチャックは大人になりかけ、脱皮中のブレアにたよりすぎるシーンが、多くあった。そのたんびにブレアのライバル登場。でも最終的にブレアほど、自分を愛してくれる女はいないと実感の繰り返し。光源氏が、藤壺に若い情熱を自分勝手にぶつけて最終的に藤壺を苦しめ不幸にした。

チャックが、源氏より素晴らしいとしたら最後の最後大切なものをてにできた事。源氏は大事な女君を本当の意味で、大切にしなかったのだ。源氏は紫の上を良いように使い最後は絶望させて死なせてしまった。

一つのエピソードとして、大人になりそれぞれ結婚したチャックブレア&セリーナダンの子供が被害があって黒幕がダンの妹。金のための行動をもともと彼女を見下げていたブレアは子供達に実質的被害がないことで、ジェニーを東海岸からの追放で、許したが、リリィセリーナ親子は珍しくジェニーをアメリカから追放する勢いで、怒った。妹を庇う発言のダンにたいしては離婚も辞さない強硬さ。なんて騒動は？なんていかがセリーナはめずらしく

シリーズはじめ大人ぶってたチャックが、大胆なブレアにドキドキするシーンは笑えた。ブレアは大人に脱皮する最中で、チャックの辛さをとても理解していたが、チャックは自分より大人のブレアに頼り過ぎた。光源氏が、藤壺の女御(後に中宮)に若い情熱をワガママにぶつけた姿を彷彿させる。チャックが、源氏より素晴らしいと言えるところは自分にとって一番を最終的に間違わなかったこと。

シリーズが、長くなると、必ず黒人女性を登用している。このアメリカの傾向には辟易する。ブレアのライバル登場はチャックとブレアの絆の強固さを実証するためなんだから黒人金持ちにする必要もなかろうに。

The way Chuck looked at Blair at minute 1:50 , I just knew they would end up together, and the writers would be idiots if they didn't, because, gosh, there's so much feeling in his eyes that it strikes at the heart.

i miss this blair. leighton completely changed blair to be too goofy and higher pitched voice in later seasons. My favorite was this serious blair.

Well, she became a lot more goofy over the seasons. She had great character developement and her bitchy side was much more goofy and dramatic than her being a bad person.
