Tbh they say they destroy the animatronics due to “copyright” reasons but it’s mainly because they don’t want people getting their hands on them and making videos with them like they do for Showbiz. It’s very sad that they’re dismantling these animatronics, I’ve known for a while that they were going to do this. Very stupid decision, it’s what put them on the map. I used to love watching them perform when I went there as a kid. My old near local CEC had it all, ball pit, arcade, rides, stage with motorized curtains, the animatronics…then it was moved to the other side of that shopping plaza and took over some other old business space that was half the size and no animatronics or ball pit , just the arcade and maybe the sky tubes. The old location was turned into a Butt-Whole Foods.

So this hits my heart deeply, as it’s been a two generation place to go. It brought such delight to my entire family. The animatronics shown in the video arent retrofitted Showbiz Pizza animatronics. These are cyberamics. The original Pizza Time Theatre animatronics. After the Showbiz stages were retrofitted, they started updating the old pizza time theater shows.

These robots are 40 or under years old and there removing a peace of history and also sometimes there sent to the spt distribution centre where chuck e cheese lends there old pluss they also removed the showroom walls in 05 and stopped programming the curtains in the same year they removed everything wich took away from the show making the experience worse and less exciting removing all the lights and the spots and everything is getting worse they removed the old chuck wich was controversial with something i hate so chuck e cheese did this on there self they also dont have as many techs and stopped producing parts for the shows making everything worse this company hates itself theres also this little sign wich says “make magic or where just another pizza place” when the magic has been gone for over 15 years

you say "franchise" yet the majority of the stores are owned by the parent company, CEC Entertainment. (there are around 568 locations and around 470 something stores are in the United States, so most CECs are in the US, and the state with the most CECs is California with 74). While there are some franchise stores remaining in the US (the 3 stores in Hawaii, the San Jose, California store (largest CEC store in the US / the world), there are very few left as they have been sold back to corporate. all the other franchises are outside the US (except for Canada stores, which are all corporate-owned)

OHHHH ok, I didn’t even think about that weirdly cuz most chains operate as franchises so it’s kinda weird to hear that so many are corporate owned. I guess it really makes sense why they’re so strict on what their employees can and can’t say. I really appreciate this information!
