The first fight i saw was mike tyson vs holyfield where tyson bit holyfield, i was like 4 to 6 years or smthn, i still remember how scared i was off tyson, but i havent noticed the headbutting holyfield did so i mistakenly thought mike is the bad guy lol First mma fight was wanderlei fighting bareknuckle Was about 11 or 12, and terrified of wanderlei lol, my father loved candylay lol

I didn't follow the UFC or MMA when Chuck or Brendan was fighting, but has Chuck always had a raspy voice? I worked with principles and teachers who sounded just like Chuck. Blaming his voice on CTE is silly, if he always sounded the same.

Chael Sonnen is probably one of the best storytellers of our generation and he fought for 20 years. An ant realizes take shots to the head is the best idea, but to blame everything on CTE is lazy. Maybe he does have brain trauma. Maybe he doesn't. I'm certain he does, but you should throw the word around. Too many people hear some foreign doctor create the term CTE and just start using it for fun. Also, I just watched some older videos and his speech isn't fair off.

Sad that Chuck doesn’t get mentioned as much for what he did for the UFC during the height of his career. Even when UFC was gaining traction, they still had a slow climb to where there at today, & guys like Chuck who were knocking fools out left & right during his prime was a thing of beauty & even then if you weren’t the biggest MMA fan, you most likely have heard of The Iceman Chuck Liddell.
