I’m not feeling how these people from these minority groups are forcing people to accept them and their choices. The way they want to force words into language and in to society. None of this and the processes towards change are happening naturally or smoothly. The world is PC mad. I’m not allowed to believe and feel a certain way to things in the world because some people maybe offended? Well then I am offended that I can’t have an opinion that is equally respected. As it has been said let bygones be bygones. You live your life how you wish to live it and leave me to live mine. Everyone is way to busy being in everyone else’s business.

Really been enjoying your channel. This is a hard topic, especially when you're coming at it cold. I think the comment "...boy, girl, dog, plant" sums up the need for this to be revisited. I don't think anyone is arguing for everyone to except that someone can identify as anything but there is a need for someone to be able to say they feel like they identify a certain way and that not be compared to someone saying they want to identify as a plant. Most of us our lucky that we are comfortable in our own bodies - can only imagine how hard it would be to be born not feeling that way. Thanks for chatting about this and appreciate your take on it!

Leon, He has the right to say that to the child, but you don't post it to internet to shame a small child (in purpose or not). Imagine if that was your child and somebody say it and post it to internet. Even if you agree with that you don't want that kind of exposure for a small child. That can mean bulling or bad jokes for him in the future.

A preference is a choice. There's nothing wrong with choosing what you want. Race and gender aren't the same thing, so shouldn't be conflated. If your "preference" isn't your reflection that's telling, your partner is a reflection of you. It is what it is. However, this is about "gender identities".

Poet and Dan missed the point, its not about raising a child to be a boy or a girl - its about letting the child make their own choice and do what they want to do, not forcing any preconceptions of gender imposed on by society onto a child. Trying to turn a little boy into a girl is wrong though don't get it twisted
@D_Franklin16 жыл бұрын
Owen Edwards if they are under the age of 18 im not letting that run. Think back on your life right now and count how many times your personality and likes changed from primary to whatever age you are now. Ok now lets say those old personality choices you made required you to have physical unreversable changes... I thought i was a dragon when i was a kid. If my mum told me i actually was a dragon my whole life and paid for me to get surgery to put fake wings in my back and tatto scales on my body i would have a skewed view of the world. Now ask yourself. Is that safe? What happens when they have to grow up with a decision they made when they were 10, 11, 12. Maybe even 6, 7, 8 (coz that's a thing that actually is happening)

I think this topic should of started with knowing the difference between Sex and Gender. A lot of the things they were saying was right but confusing words like male and man meddled with their thoughts. On top of that a lot of trans in my opinion themselves mix the to together because it is okay to still be male and not feel like a man but does not mean you should now be female. Being male doesn't have to tie into being a man

Testerone gives men most of the characterists that make them identify as male - more muscle and bone mass, more hair etc. Lack of testosterone and abundance of estrogen makes women more slender and grow boobs. Most men and women have regular amounts of hormones but PLOT TWIST - some people don't. They are born different. This is just an example, there are tons of hormones that define your physical and mental characteristics, most of us have typical amounts but it's different for everyone, you've all seen deep voiced hairy women, right? high pitched hairless men? some people are born into a body that isn't compatible with their hormone levels. If you are happy in your own body then be grateful but don't be ignorant to other people's plight. This video was ignorant enough but these comments..yikes...

People can read all the literature in the world and still not get it and still not understand what it is you think they should understand. It has to be accepted that people don’t all agree with other people’s choices but are happy to leave them to get on with it. People are being forced into uncomfortable situations because other people are demanding that people accept and agree with their personal choices. The ignorance that some are being accused of is the no different than the ignorant of the accuser.
@iver13217 жыл бұрын
Darren Adair yeah i'm not really buying that it's the same when trans people are literally being murdered.. That's why I said talk to people with real experiences as well. When you understand why people make said decisions instead of basing it on the decision alone you're taking the time to understand them as a human made up of complex identities and experiences the latter suggests you're just saying 'can't really be bothered to get to know you so I'll just tolerate you instead' which is not the way to go about things.. Understanding doesn't come from not wanting to in the first place..

It doesn’t matter what you want your son to be. It’s not your choice. Let your son experiment. If he wants to wear a dress, you have to let him because you can’t make that decision for him. Poet keeps on saying, “He’s my son!” Yes he is your son, but he’s also his own person. You have two duties: to guide him on a good, righteous and open minded moral path, and to protect his well-being until he’s old enough to protect himself. Those are your only duties as a parent. Deciding his gender for him is not your duty. You have absolutely no say in his gender. He is the only one who can make that decision. I like you, poet. This is no beef with you. I have a beef with your opinion. I think you’re not giving your son the respect he deserves.
