Naw, 90's is the beginning of the end for good music. Snoop Dogg and Dre had some great ideas but suddenly the killings and gross thug gangsta culture came with them. Nothing in the 90's compares to Earth Wind and Fire or the SOS BAND or even Bobby Brown's Tender-Roni. Sad, really. 90's only feel was, "duck! "

I was born in 1994 and I love music from the entire 20th century from the 1900s to the 1990s. When it comes to music, I live by the saying, "Variety is the spice of life." I don't have anything against today's music. I mean, I like Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons. However, I will be honest about one thing. While I like hip hop and rap as much as the next person, I despise music that involves twerking or anything related to such dancing, such as this song for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3qQioxrpZWop5o

I am not sure about anyone else but i believe the 90's had the best sound. The proof is in this song, Chuckii was singing about his woman and the game she tried to run on him. Most importantly was how the instruments were orchestrated to fit the jazzy elements of the time.

These new 'r & b' artists don't even sing anymore nowadays. They do this mush mouth mumble stuff. R & b and hip hop started to be fused around the early 90's when Diddy restyled Jodeci. Then R. Kelly jumped on that sh*t and around the late 90's it was a wrap. Now these new dudes can't even harmonize and the lyrics are as vulgar as any hip hop joint.

I know Chuckii was a bomb ass producer, and even performer. I'm hearing Mark Morrison Return of the Mack, and Minds Playing Tricks on Me, Geto Boys. Games is gold!

+Kenney McCall That's because Mark sampled this.

Wow, you right! I just listened to return of the mack. Its not sampled, the words are just different. That's still a jam though.
@Junkman20088 жыл бұрын
kidsix1 If you wait long enough, you can take a hit and recycle the music to another generation who will jam on it. Take the group America's song, "Ventura Highway." That was a hit in 1973. Now go listen to Janet Jackson's, "Someone to Call My Lover." Big hit for her in 2001, big hit for the group America in 1973. I have an extensive music collection and I listen to darn near every kind of music made so I can immediately hear a song being sampled or copied. But then I DJ'ed for 13 years so... :D

Oh yes, the memories stationed at Pearl Harbor. Rolling around in the 280z with the beautiful women, the clubs, the clothes, partying, listening to Chuckii Booker and playing games myself.............90-93....the best of times.......much love to everyone there with me back then......Mahalo....and....Aloha........

I miss how music videos use to look back in the 90s, like films. I like the fact this video was shot through sepia tone.

This jam reminds me of watching Video Soul with Donnie Simpson back in 88 - 89. I agree, those were some cool videos back then. I think one of the best eras for R&B.

That was the visual, poetic and spiritual art behind the music. The jazz symphonies along with the soulful videos just created a vibe like no other.

blackdragon6 yeah 90's videos had a dreamlike quality to them. it also gave us awesome directors like David Fincher, Zack Snyder, Mark Romanek, Hype Williams, Marcus Nispel, Alex Proyas, Spike Jonez, and a slew of others
