You got Ed’s tone dialed in pretty damn good.

Tom, I have said it before but I'll say it again. The knowledge of the instrument that you give us is very much appreciated. You certainly don't have to. And to take your time to make videos and show us how to approach it is not in vain. I there's many including myself that look forward to every and any lesson you can help us with. Great playing by the way. You know more than anyone Ed King was blown away how you picked up on the little details. Which when you see and hear it. There's nothing little about it.

Tom it's really a shame, I think, you said you didn't get to meet him. He seemed pretty open to meets with skilled players with a channel, and you're a GREAT player / instructor, detailed accurate, feel & admiration for his playing. And, you are a worthy advocate of his genius. I'm a big Skynyrd fan also, but before your channel I didn't realize the depth of the skills and ability and songs he contributed. Ronnie knew how to spot talent !!! I'm sure Ed is aware big time now, and appreciates you. You've only got one contemporary & that's Scott Raines in APB. He has song tutorials for I think, part of band PR & of course tours with Artimus, but YOU really put a microscope on nuance & authentic technique. I have no doubt you could step into today's Skynyrd in any of the three Axemen roles seamlessly. I know I'm not the only one here. All you'd have to do is grow your hair out like a "Redneck Hippie" ROFL 🤣 Great video, as always 🎸✌️

"... You've only got one contemporary & that's Scott Raines ..." I like a lot this guy's stuff too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3rOlIF9jLefqqs. Wouldn't mind - at all - these three on the road together doing LS songs. Money were no object Heck I'd back the tour myself. ;-) Three really talented guys who love RVZ's legendary band. Just like all us do. "Long live the music of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band!" Charlie Daniels (another legend too.)

@@gottadomor7438 New channel to me, but Agreed & subscribed to Ryan. He impressively displayed his playing skill, deftly covering all 3 of Allen, Gary & Steve's styles on his That Smell video a year ago. ✌️

Man was this channel nice to come across. Finally a KZbin guitarist who gives LS the credit they deserve, bravo and keep it coming my friend

RVZ inviting EK onboard was the final ingredient for the magic. And I still say the bass run during FB's crescendo remarkalbe as ANY song part I'll ever hear - especially w/ headphones. "Lead bass" if I ever heard it. ;-) RIP Ed King & t/y man.

Nice Tom. Love the 1973 Hank Aaron and 1973 Willie Mays baseball cards, and a few other '73s I can't make out. Got them all as well in my set from when I was a kid.

As a lifelong Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, watching you play guitar is like having Ed,Gary, and Allen back with us if for only a few minutes.Problems with my hands from a young age prevented me from learning/playing guitar, but I thoroughly enjoy your videos and watching you play !!!

Not a guitar player but I watch channels like.yours cause huge rock fan with Skynyrd my favorite and Sat nite special all time fave song period. Ronnie was so smart to have 3 guitarists knowing that he'd get more great riffs to work with. Reason band was so great was of course cause Ronnie made it so. Most fans proclaim pronounced as best album slightly over 2nd but for me 2nd is easily superior. Weakest song but still quality is I need u. All time fave on album is Needle Spoon but all are top notch. Lately Swamp music has my ears smiling. Before crash Ronnie was 1 lucky sob to have all those players and way Powell came to be and then of course Gaines. Only time Ronnie ever smiled was watching Steve play. Never saw another member smile maybe Collims wanted to to but think he was scared shirtless of Ronnie and never got over it. In any case think you're like me and consider them the greatest bar none and they had amazing chops!
