And the casting is trying to be different rather than copy Doug Bradley's performance. That was why Revelation and Judgement failed and the actress will do better than those two actors. They knew nobody can top Doug so why copy him? Also Clive Barker approved the casting since he's the producer so go blame him.

H6 is the better continuity anyway. Better Laurie either died in a car crash or at Michael's hand finally than lived on to become evil like him. It's just a shame we won't ever see Daniel Farrands' intended H6 because both the Unrated Producer's Cut and theatrical cut made the mistake of altering Michael to being possessed by a force rather than simply being that force himself, meaning just anyone from his family could be possessed by that same force which dilutes Michael's character.
