Also he turned Chucky into a joke again as soon as he produced Cult, which is weird since he just revived the franchise with Curse at that time.

I freaking love how they modernized the Chucky IP. Not like that remake with the electronic doll. But this song choice worked so well and also helped set the modern tone for Chucky going forward. They just made it very believable that this is happening in modern day. Not that they didn't do that in the past but like since Child's play started off as something from the 80s. If that makes any sense.
