Probably one of my favorite things about Xanderhal is that despite being an “anti-capitalist” he sure does love to lick the boots of Disney, Marvel, Amazon, and other mega corporations whenever it’s politically convenient for him to do so. For example: Amazon’s Rings of Power. He shilled SO HARD for that show despite it being obviously dogshit, or when he called Shoe0nHead a Nazi for calling out Balenciaga for their creepy kids with bdsm teddy bears ad campaign, or whenever Disney race/genderswaps an established character. Dude SIMPS for the company so hard at every single given opportunity that he’s borderline Down BAD. It’s why I will always look as Xanderhal as a born and bred company man.

My personal favorite clip of his is when AOC got into controversy over faking being arrested, even hardcore AOC supporters like Vaush said it was a bad look. Xanderhal on the other hand called AOC a martyr, and compared it to the civil rights protests. It was at that point I realized Xanderhal wasn't just a Vaush clone, he actually is that stupid.

I get it historically, but 95% of the people calling themselves socialist today aren't socialist. Spending a shit ton on a computer is called futureproofing in the tech world. about 10 yearss ago I spent a bit over 3k and didn't have to worry about my computer until this year. If you take the money and just divide it by how many years you won't have to worry it's worth it if you can afford it. With the current prices of things atm futureproofing isn't very viable. I'll probably wait till next fall or the one after. Intel is coming out with full glass processors which will be leagues above what we currently have because glass can handle heat a lot better. anyways, that's the answer.

30 years on the internet, 30 years of computer tells me this: you can do it for less money and have more current hardware, like a 3 year cycle for part of it. if you had spent 6k you wouldn't have future proofed in any more meaningful way than your 3k did or imagine this if you had done that and left the 3k extra to upgrade the computer halfway through the line. in xands case, he didn't even know how any of that shit works, what he did is just called spending 3x what was necessary and he'll break it just after the warranty is out anyway.

I am debating in my head to do a sort of cycle system but the reason I would say 6k for futureproofing now is because of how much room you might need. Picking up a eatx motherboard is like 1500 itself. And cards aren't as slim as they used to be. It's all really complicated and I guess the worst part of future proofing is I didn't keep up with tech news for 10 years. I'm on a decent gaming laptop right now I got for a steal. I'm terrified to use my desktop. It sounds like it's on it's last legs and I'm way too emotionally attached to her.

I live in thailand and a 1000 usd computer is realistically pretty high end already for the locals. it's still a computer you can spend all the time in the world with, there's very few things you couldn't do with a mid tier 10 year old computer in that regard nowadays, the situation is a lot different to 1994 to 2004 or even 2004 to 2014 - what I mean with things is like learn about server software, computing, programming, development, 3d modelling, drawing, etc. for a person who would like to learn skills to be able to make money such an old computer is perfectly viable as a tool - but like people like xannies put forward this kind of thinking that you need xxxx dollars, the idea that there's a wealth gate that is gatekeeping you from having a shot at it. I got out of having a desktop at all like 14 years ago - not that i didn't like a desktop etc, but I can get work to buy me an upper-middle tier gaming laptop every 2-3 years. so it's like 2k usd. we got a young adult in the family spending every day with an asus rog thats got the mobile 960 on it(one of the old laptops from work), still manages to spend all the time just gaming instead of learning :D. but look in their 3rd world young peoples world it's still a pretty good laptop - it plays fortnite. I do get it that as an adult it's NICE to be able to spend money on your hobbies so yeah if you do have the wealth then spending it on yourself that's perfectly understandable.
