To be fair, Emile's claim that Yoshi is a cannibal for eating other creatures constructed of yarn seems incorrect. Yoshi is a yarn-based life form that consumes other yarn-based life forms. This is more or less how we humans, as carbon-based life forms, commonly dine upon other carbon-based life forms, i.e. eating meat.
