Its sad to see that , no regular trains use this track except a few passenger trains. Even after repeated requests to connect the coasts of rameshwaram and ernakulam through this track by a daily overnight express , which would help tourists and college goers , have not been taken up by the railways. Humbly requesting you to look into it sir.
