Thank you for sharing about our history and keeping it alive. It means a lot to those of us not located in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Choctaws look different than Mississippi Choctaws. Why is that?

I'm Mississippi choctaw and I'd say we all look diverse some have dark brown to brown skin like my dad and some have lighter Olive colored skins like me. If thats what you were talking about. Tbh I'd say his skin color or slightly darker is how most natives look.

We are not a people that felt the need to not mingle with people. Unlike Caucasian, who are not a fan of those that don't look like them, Native allowed love in there heart to go where it may when it comes to racial features. They helped hide many shaded ppl from slavery. They in turned helped them. No need to go in detail. From their relationships comes many shades of colors. Those who moved to Ok are those who were compliant with govt, those in Ms did not take their deal and thus, the groups divided in location.
