I was his pre-show, producer and good friend in Los Angeles at KIQQ - K100. 1975-1976. Loved that dude. He was kind to me and taught me a lot about radio. I was 9 years younger and Tom was a mentor as I honed my DJ skills.

Listened a lot to CHUM, CKOC and CKFH growing up in the Markham area NE or Toronto. Then before there was top 40 FM in Toronto there was WOTT from Watertown NY on 97.5. Now live in Orlando so we have Z 88.3 and also run a small station on 100.1 in Port St. Lucie on the Treasure Coast.

I’ve wondered about that. CHUM seemed to be about a year behind the other Drake stations with their jingle packages. The only legit Drake station in Canada I’m aware of is CKLW.
