@@scottishcheese13 So it does exist! Paul must have been joking, though. John Lennon, on the other hand, sarcastic as he was may have meant it if he wrote it. I still think it's Paul's song despite the Lennon-McCartney credit. Lennon would have dismissed it as another one of Paul's "granny songs".

@@klop4228mccartney was in such a creative flow at the time and wanted her majesty to be a part of the medley but it just didn’t fit. I am a pure beatlemaniac but was blown away when I heard this version the other day. They’ve nailed by expanding it into something that sounds like it could have been written in full by the Beatles. At that time though - I doubt even lennon would have dared to throw lyrics like this out Superb 😂

@@klop4228 100% There’s covering a song and then there’s making it your own. There’s a band called Fanny who do a great cover of Hey Bulldog. They added their own verse and retake the lyrics through the viewpoint of a woman’s eyes.

@@georgestokes5116 I mean obviously, by law there's always a monarch reigning even before the successor's coronation. Though if the royal family gets divested in the next decade or so, she'd effectively be the end of the line. Plenty of royal bloodlines sputter on for a couple more monarchs before the inevitable caught up to the family, and in hindsight people see the last major monarch to be where it effectively ended.

I feel like her charisma and longevity were the only things propping the monarchy up. without her, it'll become pretty obvious that the monarchy's an obsolete drain on taxpayer money. ppl are much more fond of little old ladies than inbred-looking middle-aged men.

@@salvadorulloa3115 i love that line too! the way i see it he's talking about the Queen for the whole song except this line , in which he is refering the original song at the end of the Abbey Road album, Her Majesty, saying it is a throwaway song which is true it got started but was never finished or it was but it was cut out from the medley. Just short of a chorus or 2 because the hidden recording we got of it only last 23 seconds... and for those who like the tune, it's way too short. Thanfully this version exists and it's a godsend :)

It think it’s supposed to be the “Royal Wii.” To get publicity, a shitty shovelware game company attempted at shipping the queen a “golden” Wii alongside their crappy Wii- Sports rip-off. Though, because of the guidelines for shipping things to the queen, the Royal postal service or whoever monitors the queen’s packages redacted the gift, and when people where trying to pinpoint where it went after being redacted, it was discovered that a game collecter somehow possessed it.

That's correct! The song was originally intended to be part of a medley in the latter half of the album, between "Mean Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam," but it was removed from that position and placed at the end of the tape. Paul McCartney happened to hear this "accidental" placement and found it intriguing, so it ended up as the closing track of the album. At the time of its release, the song didn't have a title listed, making it one of the earliest examples of a "hidden" or "secret track" on an album.
