The fact that this was a very well known TV show offset all kinds of losses. Moreover, for every time they lost money they probably underpaid and oversold on some other item. It never ceases to amaze me how an expert will evaluate an item, only to have the customer want the upper end of the estimated price range, when that supposedly is the price the store is going to get for it.
