@@HackionSTx I think the main detractor which pushed me and Chump away (at least for this version of the list) is that it went a little too all in with the Vilefiend trainers, if there's too many high costed payoffs then the Vilefiends become a little too hard to outcast sometimes.

He's bad but he's honestly not thaaaaat bad, he definitely should've at least tried it out here. I played with the card when the class first came out and while it was and still is obviously far from the best thing a demon hunter can be doing it's still really easy to get it up to being about as strong as the average Alex which even post-nerf is still one of the best cards in the game. The main issue is that it's absolute trash when you're in topdeck mode, but with enough cycling and minions to trade away it's definitely the ideal big finisher for this style of deck. Most people don't survive a zoo deck suddenly dropping three 9-drops right when they were about to stabilize, y'know?

@@RealPrismsword While stuff with a cool concept is certainly worth a try, I think the heart of a good meme deck isn't in its tier, but in it's funniness. Even if the deck may be crap or be good, I think the key thing is that it is entertaining to play.

When I had the chance to submit deck lists there wasn't too much that interested me since I already pretty much already did all the op stuff I wanted to do with the expansion (ramp druid/mage shenanigans) So I went for more entertainment value in what I think others could enjoy watching and I think bad demon hunter archetypes are always a treat (some people were even requesting it after I sent in the list so im glad I went that direction lol). Although my favorite bad demon hunter lists are highlander or anti-aggro control/big demons. But I wanted to see if Chump could pilot or muster something up. But I don't think the freshman class has enough tools yet to make this work lol.

i tried some feast of souls token demon hunter and the reason about the brick draws is because you can really literally search through in this token meta with command the illidari +feast . it plays like a midrange deck and most cards hit like a truck if played on curve.

My main annoyance with Fel Guardians isnt the power level of the card, I just hate how it doesn't include the "while in hand" text. I really feel like it should've included it somewhere.

I played a version that ran fel guardians but I didn't run feast of souls, and instead of playing a beat down deck I went a more control route, with the whole soul shard package and magtheridon, using the tokens for early game board control and chip damage, and the token payoff cards as finishers. I just ran lots of draw, silence and removal, knife juggler helps both with chip damage against control decks and dealing with stealth rogue, but overall it's still just not a very good archetype, it's payoff cards are too easy to deal with for too many classes right now, and druid can do basically the same thing for MUCH less effort.

19:30 Just on my deck building instincts upon getting to this point in the video, I think 2x Raid leader and cutting the 1x Command the Illidari is iffy to me, think it's best to try and keep the engine as healthy as possible especially when experimenting, and double raid leader is a bit much for me, I'd start with 1 as it's more situational (Especially when not including Dire Doggy, Odd Paladin could only play Odd card remember!). Love the content and I'm not trying to "correct you" at all (especially as you are probably a better deckbuilder, especially for aggro decks) just sharing what I thought cause that's the most interesting part of card games to me and why you are one of my favourite Hearthstone KZbinrs

Is this version running, the 3/1 that deals 3 damage to the enemies face or board everytime a friendly minion dies?! Thats what made the old version scary in a pinch.. but i dont remember its name.. hehe! But its really good with token w/rush generation... Edit: Wrathscale naga.. i think its name is! Definitely needed in a token dh.. the trainer that summons 2 - 1/1’s not so much imo.. Edit 2: i wrote all of this before getting to the middle part of the video.. im so surprised naga was passed up on, when changes to the deck were made.. hell, maybe you change it more.. im 21 min into the video.. lets see!! Edit 3: YEEEEAAAAA!!!!! After that 1 game, deck changes were made, and we finally saw the light!! Haha! j/k! But yea if you were trying to make a different kind of token dh.. i dont think there is another way really.. maybe some healing weapons instead of trueaim crescents.. since you have twin slices.. you could heal quite a little bit.. to last that 1 more turn or so to win! Token demon hunter is actually a thing, and was actually really good when this expansion first came out.. i havent seen it too much recently.. but it was tearing through some ladder a month or so ago... it was the only deck, i was like, ‘awwwe damn’ when i qued against them.. then.. the rise of soulsharting demon hunter came along.. and i havent seen it since! I have been trying so hard to make this concept work. The best version I had just ran all the typical tempo Demon Hunter stuff and then some token stuff splashed in. The problem I always had with Blood Herald is it was never big enough by turn 5. Even if I drew it right away.

Yeah, if you play it for tempo early then effectively your best case scenario is it behaving similar to a decently well discounted giant which would be great in a vacuum, but for something you actually had to build your deck around, it's just not enough to close out games And I think saving up for a massive one is just too much of a meme cause your opponent is for sure going to be holding any single target hard removal he's drawn since he saw you play command the illidari and immediately knew what must be eventually coming

I think the issue is that there is no buffs available for the tokens, raid leaders, knife jugglers and dire wolf are all aggro type cards so dont really count.

I think tokens are better in some kind of control anti aggro demon hunter, with the legendary dh dragon, wrathscale naga and the illidari spells, but sadly, it does not synergise well with blood herald.

To be honest, the Naga and netrandamus play is much stronger than a single x/x, who could get easily polimorphed, the dragon gives you big value, while the Naga play with the 6 rush minion spell might push over 10 dmg to face in a single turn

@@tchem yeah exactly, i made a deck back in Ashes of Outland with those synergies + moarg artificier, à bunch of AOEs, the lifesteal spells, it was pretty nice to play, the naga play was mostly good for destroying big boards It still had a bad winrate, since I was mostly facing priests and mages, the problem of the deck was the lack of win condition

I have tried this archetype with a different take on it, you go for command the illadari and all the rush things with wrathscale naga and and draw you cut blood herald because there are simply too many answers in this meta you use souls to and wrathscale to burn opponent down knife juggler also can be decent, also sea giant is better than herald

Just in case someone else want to try a different approach to this archetype: AAECAea5AwKrBrzGAw6xCMedA4upA9ipA4u6A6O7A9i7A/i7A4m8A6m8A5XNA4LQA77SA8jSAwA= I made this deck in the first week of scholomance and refine it the following days. Also it works pretty well as aggro in tournament play, but not so great in ladder. You basically want to play tokens on curve and combo then with your other token oriented cards, if you dont find them you want to do sick plays drawing 5-8 cards with soul feast and sect master (this one lets you draw your blood herald or nethrandamus and buff it the same turn, if you keep trading). You can play aggro or trade, it depends on the matchup (but the deck is designed for trading payoff) -You ALWAYS want to mullligan into ONE and only ONE hand buffed card (i used to run 2 copies of fel guards but i ended up cutting then). -I sacrifice a little my turn 1 play because you dont really need it if you want to do this trade-draw plays wich keeps the deck going (only 2 copies of a 1 drop playable on turn one, so use the card of your choice). -Animated broomstick is to keep relevant your blood herald after turn 5 because it can trade into big things at least. -Rush minions are perfect to trigger a lot of cards in the deck when some of your tokens die. -Demon companion its exclusively for the +1 attack buff of course -your main finisher is going full board ,or full rush turn, into wrathscale naga -My main concern with this build was the lack of no minion damage wich is none, so i´ll put 2 copies of the soul demon weapon Pls notice me Daddy Chump ^_^ I wanted you to try this deck early this season, but i cant afford giving you a patreon because i live in argentina and taxes are killing us. But i really apreciate your content.

I like this deck. It's all about boosting a card called "Herald" gain power each time a friend dies, as an Avenger will do. This Herald is of course a bat, because it must look bad. To survive, it must be protected by a Cloack, which leads to think this Herald of Justice is in fact a Cloacked Avenger. Midgame is nigh, he is the shadow in the dark, he claims vengeance for his lost friends, he is the night, his is the vengeance...He is...the Herald.

Raid Leader is definitely a better card than Naga, it’s basically a mini-Savage Roar on a stick that can finish games, while Naga does nothing if your opponent doesn’t have a board
