Everytime I dust a trash card Chump makes a deck around it
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
Don't make a habit out of dusting cards unless they have rotated out or you absolutely need to in order to craft a competitive deck. And even if they did rotate, keeping enough for a deck is recommended in case you ever decide to try Wild, and most people do at some point. In Classic for example, there have been enough nerfs and buffs for players who stockpile duplicates to get several times worth the dust they normally would have gotten from disenchanting.

trading off psychopomp before rezzing zill, what kind of legend players are these... the netdecking kind
@wasabi25J4 жыл бұрын
maybe i am wrong but there was definitely more thought required, or maybe he needed the 1 in 3 to win, i think there was a more consistent play involving the 50/50 res first
@matthiasp32254 жыл бұрын
The only minion in his respool was Zilliax at this point, so no 50/50 involved, it was guaranteed Zill res before the trade. He just blundered. Should have played Psychopomp first, then trade, then breath, and he would have a almost fresh Zilliax still on board after it + even more Zilliax in the res pool.
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
@@matthiasp3225 Not how the res pool works. It's always an equal percentage for each minion type dead regardless of copies dead. That's how players pull off resurrecting the good minion they need to win with their graveyard full of tokens in those salt highlights.
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
@Radjon That would be the more intuitive mechanic, yes, doesn't mean it's the case though. The way I described it was the way it absolutely certainly was some years ago. Maybe it was meant to be the way you described it, but was also bugged to hell like so many other parts of the game. I've seen res games that made absolutely no sense if you go by dead minion copies. Regardless, the res pool is far from being a precise mechanic.
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
@Radjon No, you see, it isn't how chances work. High-rolling several times in a row happens quite rarely in real life. But clown fiestas are incredibly common. There are either bugs no one bothered to fix or intentional biases in the code toward more impactful outcomes to make the game "more fun". Seeing an opponent who had swarms of tokens die consistently resurrect the one good minion in his pool isn't something that should happen if each death has an equal chance of being rolled.

Sticky fingers seems like a good tech for this with dragon hunter and Lance warriors

9:15 I feel this was a misplay: it seems better to take the trade with the Treant here, as Mana Addict represents way more potential damage. I see no reason to send 3 face instead of trading to protect your Addict, but maybe I'm missing something.
@lemniskuslateralis79964 жыл бұрын
Mana addict is good only if you can pump spells into it. And missing 3 dmg was probably not worth to protect him when you have 1 non-spell in hand. Also, opponent then took a bait and attacked Addict while it was less dmg on board, so all and all, it was a good play imo.

my first thoughts after watching intro is that 1mana stealth draw engine, or do you only ever draw 1?
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
Spirit only has value if your deck strategy is board control. It synergizes with some cards in the deck but not the aggro deck type.
@JohnMatayas4 жыл бұрын
What about Questing Adventurer instead of Thug?
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
Certainly not instead of Thug, that card is too good in anything that hits with face. And this is an aggro deck, even though mana costs are low, the only time his hand is full is when he completes the quest. This pretty much turns Adventurer into a card he can only consistently stick and buff during his endgame push.
@RickyMuzakki4 жыл бұрын
Why no gonk and spirit for extra control and card draw
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
Gonk is slow and Spirit is a 0 tempo draw that only has value if your deck strategy is board control. They synergize with some cards in the deck but not the aggro deck type.
@Ramen104204 жыл бұрын
Seems like questing adventurer would be better than thug in this deck.
@ser6Ijvolk4 жыл бұрын
I'll essentially copy my comment from the answer to another guy who proposed Adventurer: this is an aggro deck, even though mana costs are low, the only time his hand is big and he has enough mana is when he completes the quest midgame. This pretty much turns Adventurer into a card he can only consistently stick and buff during his endgame push.

@@Bruh-el9js I don't watch every video of every channel I'm subscribed to either, just thought you'd like to know. Seeing as you appear unaware of Chump's opinion of wild, I'll just recount what I remember of it: It's a toxic wasteland that only contains the dredges of humanity. Or maybe it just contained hyper aggro & combo decks refined over the years with a carpool larger than any other in hearthstone? Anyway, the point is that the decks are so powerful that trying some of his whackier creations becomes pointless since they'd be mercilessly crushed to odd paladin, secret mage, even shaman, renolock, quest mage and the other giants of the wild meta. I'll admit that I'd like to see more wild content from Chump, but it is what it is and I can respect his reasons for avoiding it.
