"Miss the future so bad, I wish that we could go back." is one of the most gut wrenching and beautiful lyrical lines I've heard in a long time. To absolutely no surprise, another fantastic song and M/V. This song is right up there with X in terms of a more raw emotional side and it's an interesting reminder that not everything is just Bicycle and Play (which are excellent on a different level). I didnt personally look up the rest of lyrics because I enjoy the interpretation but, of course, if she had or is having issues (as with anyone) I hope she knows there are a lot of supporting people out there.

🤷‍♀️ if you girls watched the show “running girls“ with Chungha, Sunmi, Hani(Exid), Chuu(Loona) and Yooa. The girls told each other their stories and problems, what they have experienced and Chungha told a lot about herself and her life as a soloist I was so sad when I saw her crying and the only thing was what I want to do is just hug her and say she’s so perfect like how she is

@@ELmayberry I actually cried with everyone, I could say, cause the artists we know can also be very fragile and try not to show it to their fans. It was just beautiful when they supported and listened to each other. My heart melt when I saw them like that. But on the other hand they show their true feelings how it can be as a artist and things are not so easy like what other people think or imagine about that

cheer yourselves up -- the Killing Me [PLAY COLOR] video is her dance vid to this and it is buoyant! I think it's about getting older when birthdays stop being about presents and lead to introspection. "I miss the future so bad, I wish that we could go back" (also COVID kind of dashed the future too) . and Chungha tackling depression and humanizing it too like you say. Queen!

I like your interpretations. I think the song has many meanings, but I definitely think the "Miss the future so bad / wish that we could go back" is suggesting a more personal issue possibly along with the current COVID ongoing situation & chaos. The nesting dolls also I think speak to how many people were used to acting or presenting optimism / positivity & staying busy before before COVID (or really any major life effect that causes you trauma, distress, &/or loneliness), but suddenly we were all alone & the longer we stayed alone the more we peeled our layers back & maybe realized some deeper issues or problems or pains. I actually find the "Nothing is for me" line written at the end as a sort of bleak optimism or suggestion of beginning again or moving on. Letting go or getting past trauma / sadness / problems, if for no other reason than one realizes more about themselves (we all have happiness & sadness, good days & bad, no matter how happy a person appears we don't always know what moves beneath the mask or presentation). "Nothing is for me" is saying I've given up these masks or personas because I know myself, a complicated / evolving person. Anything I have or have achieved can be taken away, but we can begin again. We can have great experiences & moments, but we won't be happy forever & will still have dark days. But we'll have good ones again too.

I don't remember hearing that Chungha had caught Covid (but my memory is really crap now). I know Gahyeon caught it shortly after I was mostly recovered from my own bout with it and I remember hearing about Lalisa catching it more recently. I hope all of them are doing well, of course...
