Overrated crap from a director whose showing hong Kong or china that doesn't exist. Cheap imitation of western culture (Although there's nothing wrong with the culture at all) just to look cool is pathetic.
@cryptocine10114 жыл бұрын
i think that’s part of showcasing western culture through any international film though. like, everyone likes to “imitate” western culture. globalization has circulated many western cultural aspects throughout the globe. you can see people speaking different languages throughout the movie, but the common lingua franca is english. this is present in many non-american films. i’m sorry if i misunderstood your comment. anyway, we are all entitled to our own opinions; one can think this movie is overrated if they feel it.
@remka20004 жыл бұрын
Nick Edits Not China but HK, a while ago. Also WKW was not talking about China, but about his very romantic vision of people in Chungking Mansions. Your comment is like saying Truffaut's Day for Night is about american culture. It's ok to have little culture : just don't spread it too thin :)
