God bless it! I finally found a pattern to adapt to what I want to do next! I have some cotton jersey knit sheets I'm no longer going to use. (Walmart T-shirt Jersey sheets.) I'm going to cut them into a continuous strip to create t-shirt yarn. I'm going to increase the base and enlarge the handles appropriately. I may add another slip stich row at the very top for extra strength because I'm making a 100% cotton (and therefore washable) laundry basket! Nothing terribly large, but just big enough to hold about a load and a half. I don't want the contents to get too heavy AND it will allow me to keep on top of my laundry chores! OK I finally figured out what I was doing wrong and making the base completely twist to one side and have a corner in the top! When you mark the 2 and the 4 of the four stitches it REALLY MATTERS if you count back from the last single crochet or if you count forwards from the first one you made. I was watching the one with the 5 stitches 4:08 and it looked like she was counting back, because it was kind of the same either way. But on the 4 stitches, 5:22 it is hard to tell. And I kept counting back, so 2 and 4 are the wrong stitches.(I still have a hard time with what constitutes the stitch sometimes)! This took about 3 days for me to realize. I feel ridiculously dumb. BUT for anyone who is having this weird dumb problem, there you go, I saved you frogging like 20 times!
