Some of the boxes also have perforations to become 3D pieces for the cabin - two couches, a chest, and a sleigh. My kid really liked playing with the scene almost like a dollhouse.

haha, I get annoyed when there's ONLY a video tutorial and NOT a written pattern. I'm written pattern all the way!

The edit at 12:48 really makes it look like you suddenly finished all the return row with just one elegant movement, I need to know if you did it on purpose 😂

Monetizing your craft is so powerful and difficult. Some folks don't know what goes into what it means to create items. On the other side if your customers value items handmade with love, they will pay

I love the tip about even edges, how many per type of row. I also didn't notice a tip about the difference between yarn over and yarn under.
@kbjazzfan12 сағат бұрын
When I do houndstooth, I only turn after doing a row of each color, which allows me to carry the yarns. You do a front row with color 1, drop color 1. Attach color 2 at the beginning and do a front row with color 2 (sc in the dcs and dc in the scs, like normal). Turn and pick up color 1 and work across, then go back and pick up color 2 and work across. Repeat. It looks the same on both sides, which is cool, rather than having a different dominant color on each side. And you don't have all those ends to weave.

Hey, Toni. I just want to say this to you just before the year ends: the biggest reason why I follow you is, not due to the simplicity or complexity of your patterns, but the clarity and quality of your teachings. I’ve followed many a crochet creator before, but I was only able to learn certain stitches and patterns when I started actively following you this year. For those saying you only have “simple” patterns: I don’t have a problem with complex patterns, but you better have an easy to follow video tutorial and PDF pattern, otherwise you’re really just showing off and not really teaching me anything. Yet TL Yarn Crafts has both. I’ve also bought many a pattern from other crochet creators before, but sometimes they suck lols 😂 Your PDF patterns are easy to follow and has size adjustments so I can really customize my garments (I have a weird shaped body so I really have to adjust for different sections 😂). Anyway, happy holidays to you, Ms. Toni! 🎄✨

I struggle with yarn winding because of chronic pain and back issues. Winding by hand and using my ball winder, I can wind about 1 hank a day. Unless I am doing fingering weight-that’s a real problem! An electric winder would be so helpful.

For me, reading a pattern whilst crocheting felt like a chore in the midst of my stitching bliss. So I had to memorize it before beginning. Now I know it to be a Blessing as I can create my own patterns in my head, as I go, and I use the patterns of others as suggestions until I fully understand how the piece is created. Crocheted forever, now I'm knitting simple things and learning more. Please do a weekly vlog together! Thanks🧶

Thank you ladies! You both are so warm and welcoming, I felt as if I was there with you! Your chat was informative, uplifting and affirming: "Make what you love, name dropping is so tired, and don't be afraid to experiment" were the things that resonated with me. So glad I watched.... hope to see you two again, soon! 🥰

Whenever someone comes over to me and mixes up the craft I'm doing (usually they call it crochet while I'm knitting) It's not that hard to be nice. Typically I'll say something like "Thank you for noticing, it's actually knitting but they're very similar and I crochet too." From there they usually ask what the difference is and we have a conversation going.

Turning these into ornaments is an excellent idea! Woobles are absolutely adorable. I’ve seen a ton of commercials for these, I do worry though that ami isn’t a beginner project. A newbie getting frustrated with the increases and smaller objects might cause them to give up.

I just adore watching you two! I’m rewatching just to give myself a boost of joy. I want to keep learning to knit after decades of crocheting. If for no other reason, it’s boosting my middle-aged brain cells. It also makes me much more mindful and present. I’m also going to treat myself more often to beautiful merino wool at local yarn shops. I’m going to pitch taking on long complicated projects that friends request of me.

LOVE LOVE your mom! Love your raglan sweaters. The best way to crochet or knit a garment. Especially if you have a larger bust. Yes to blended craft projects! I finally learned how to knit in the beginning of the year and I am so glad I did. You guys are too cute! Always surprised by folks who make the same thing over and over. Crafting is a constant learning process. Once you learn how to read patterns, it’s a confidence builder. It’s like learning a new language. You can do all of this at your own pace.

I begun this morning creating a granny square ( my second). I’m now can say I’m able to crochet ( single crochet( the needle goes into the second stitch and (hc, goes into the third, (dc) goes into the fourth stitch. Yes I can believe I am now crocheting a bit. Now I’m please to say that after crying and trying I am now doing (slowly) a good looking granny square and a tiny bag ( not purposely done but when I was trying to create a magic square I ended up stitching tight tension. I’m unable to create those beautiful patterns Mrs. TL, because I have not jet know much. But I give myself a year to be able to make a scarf, a headband and a blanket. I love to watch Ms. TL because you make me smile! God blessed and happy holidays 🙏
