Alright, I finished making my first needle book yesterday. I'm by no means a quilter and so enjoyed just incorperating it as I went along. It was so fun. Thanks for sharing your skills to refer to along the way to make one of these. I'm retired and this was so fun to pass the time. I live in Florida from NY upstate,LOL no more snow for me. I have wanted to make one of these for a while now! This is beautiful and I love the idea of adding the journal inside! I will definitely follow along but at a much slower pace as I have lots of other projects I am working on at the moment and need to be finished. I love that Tracie Fox kit!

Nikki, I have made many needle “safes” for my embroidery needles. It is best if you use wool felt. It does not rust your needles. It is more expensive but it saves your best needles from being unusable.

Nikki you can actually quilt like the back of your piece. Look up a rag quilt.
