It’s such a joy to hear someone so happy about the small things in life. Not that the Hussif was a small job altogether, but your joy at the small wins all the way through had me smiling for the whole video. Thank you for making my day - and it is such gorgeous and useful item!

Blow, I threw a worn pair of leather gloves out last week while packing for our move. My husband has been urging me to lessen my craft stash, so I compromised by not adding to it. I can't wait to move and get started on some of your wonderful ideas. Meantime I have a small piece of slow stitching on the go, with minimum colours and threads, a hexie epp project and my crochet blanket for the evenings

Thank you Marion for your video. What an amazing project a lovely Hussif. I got so excited with you over the thumb of the globe I clapped, which is funny at 4am 😂. This is so what I was thinking of. I knew a little needlebook was no use to me but I had never seen anything larger. This will fit the bill, you know we need to change our needle size and type often in the sort of stitching we do so we need instant access. Some of my students gave me as a retirement gift a whole range of sizes and types of needles and that's the bundle of packets I have been struggling with. This project means I can have one of everything to hand, excited to start.

Oh this was such a delightful video to watch! Not only have you fashioned yourself a new, uniquely beautiful needle book, but it clearly brought you so much joy in the making of it. Yes I imagine it feels very tactile with the embellishments, yet it looks so soft and comforting to hold in your hand. Love all the needles in their original packets, a lovely reminder of sewing heritage.

Hello Marion. I LOVE your hussif. Especially all your beach finds and the leather fixings. It reminds me of mine. Having watched you make this Hussif with all your brilliant ideas, the needle case I was going to make is now going to be a Hussif. Having seen the original idea you had for closing it gave me the idea of using a piece of old clay pipe which was amongst the many items found when I had an allotment. I too have a collection of old packets of needles, old bone and metal crochet hooks, some of which I still use when making crochet items for my dolls house. Marion you are a joy to watch. Thank you.

Finally you have shared your secret closure 🗝🔐 it was worth waiting for, I chuckled along with each new invention you had, Loved the glove idea 💡too, it couldn't of fitted better if it had been made for it. I think you should of left the funny bit in though 🙈 hehe The first actual thing I slow stitched was a Hussif, I was researching sewing notions, when I came across a very interesting video on the old Hussifs, and the history, I'll see if I can find it and link it. I understood the excitement as each idea turned into something so rewarding, as the struggles turned out to work perfectly or, as you say, not quite lol. I just loved that little tin 😍 and the lovely old needles, a special memory to keep with you. 🤗 So pleased you have made something you love, and try not to feel too sorry for your old needle case. She has served you well and has earned a rest 😄 take care 🤗🌈🌱🌾🌟 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6ebZH94jqp3g7ssi=wgXOQmTor2_Q69aC
