it's inherently hilarious how human spirituality devolved from a personal meaningful thing you share with your immediate community into a series of meaningless, bureaucratic rituals performed by wealthy strangers
@luxither735410 ай бұрын
This is just a gross comment. The Priests of most parishes are friends of Communities. Talk to anyone who actually goes to a Catholic Church, or just any Apostolic Church, and they'll talk about their friendly Priest. They aren't a Rich Stranger. They are a good friend, entirely dependent on the Charity of the Community. The rituals in these Churches date to the inception of Christianity, testified by Extra-Biblical Apostolic works and Early Christians. They're mentioned in the Bible itself, take fulfillment of the Prior Jewish Customs. It's just ignorant and a strawman to paint Liturgical Customs and Religious Institutions as such, as it's unsubstantiated in any universal history. Did clericalism and issues exist? Yes! But does this mean we then degrade good people alongside the Bad? No! This is logically acidic, and breaks down any foundation of any institution.

I've dated young ladies who wanted to become Nuns who quit due to sexual harassment from the Preists. They get the worst kitchen and maintenance details. There often treated like slaves. Then the Priests offer them a better job by giving some pussy or a Bjob. Some cant take the harassment and leave. My 3rd Cousin became a Priest and left after 10 years. Just like science, which can always be updated upon learning new things. & 2. not to condemn love between to people in its pure innocent form (for example between lgbtq+ people, now matter how straight we are, i’m too btw) and just hearing people out instead of giving up on them. and, obviously, for heaven’s sake, ending lives of *absolutely innocent random people* who have no interest in actively engaging in any armed conflict, is about the unholiest thing I can imagine. if you believe in god, i believe he will take us to him when the time has come. actively ending someone’s journey prematurely without them even opposing any threat to you whatsoever is just so wrong. well yeah i’m addressing extreme examples of religious wrongdoing, but anyways, i’m open to talk about religion. as long as each others’ views are respected. 🙏🏼

Infodump here, maybe tmi. Ifind huge comfort in this. Im neurodivergent and was forced to attend to church mass as a kid. The ambent made me deeply uncomfortable, with the loud and unionized chants. Those sparked anxiety on me to a point in my early years of forced attendance i would cry and beg not to go, and get dismissed and called vile names (by my own mother) for not liking it. The only part i could find good in the whole ordeal was those silent prayer moments before the partition of the Body. Everyone went silent. I could indulge in the calmness and serenity of the moment for a brief period of time. Today ive grown to endure many neurodivergent overstimulation hardhsips and looking back at those times, know what was happenid with me and my mind in that ambient, having understood the reason for my discomfort brings me peace about my religious and spiritual choices. Im glad ive found these exerpts on KZbin.

I’m a Christian of the Protestant variety and our church services are NEVER this relaxing LOL. They have become more like rock concerts. I’ve visted both catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches and I much prefer their services. Super relaxing and ancient feeling. And absolutely ASMR inducing. Plus in Catholic Mass you get a small workout with all the kneeling and standing!

Go to a traditional latin mass or maybe a nice Orthodox cathedral. It's a surreal experience, very ancient and reverent.
@SanctusPaulus19629 ай бұрын
@@CHURCHISAWESUM Orthodox liturgies are literally the opposite of relaxing. There's almost no silence. The Traditional Latin Mass (especially the low mass) is a much better option if you want moments of silence and peace.
