Hey mark I’ve got a question about the stern planner can I run it straight out from the back of the boat by the motor but farther out will it get tangled in the boards?

Dumb Q: How are these better than running a bait or plug without them? What do they provide except something else to drag on the line?

So you set the crankbait to a certain depth then hook it to the line which keeps the bait ar the desired depth then run it back to get out of the prop wash. It’s just to get you into the strike zone

@@aarontennant5558 I understand now. The length of leader between the cone and plug is shortened, hence restricting the dive depth. My buddy who uses them was struggling to explain it to me also. Tnx!
