Equating the importance of people hearing Jesus' message on the lakefront (which made it into Scripture) with the sound quality for an average weekly sermon at a local church seems a stretch. I mean, people have the original message in print! Plus the maths on 4000 years maintenance on the landscaping is just bizarre. Take it to the other extreme and say all the online world needs is a hundred quality sermons in every language viewable on Vimeo by phones and the local church needs NO sound or video system. It can go back to being house fellowships meeting face to face, which is how the church first exploded. But we Christians love to platform people and share in the power and $ surrounding big ministries. It also allows tech-heads to manifest all their wet dreams as part of the evangelical industrial/marketing complex. (So you know: I ran my own student ministry PA business because I hate crap sound and I wanted to make decent sound affordable for conference venues lacking any PA)

Ancient Greeks, came after Jesus.? 🤔 This is really weird. Trying to justify over spending AV systems.. I really can't believe he's trying to use scripture to justify spending of funds that can be used for better / more important things... How did churches effectively spread the word prior to this trend..? "video matters, if you didn't see it, it didn't happen" The opposite of faith. This is demented.

You don't need a "expensive" system, but what you do need is GOOD and CLEAR sound This is practical, proper use and need of good sound equipment and how its effective in use
