We had a similar experience. My husband just finished school and we moved half way across the country for my husband's job while I was pregnant with our third child. We didn't have a babh shower, but our new neighbors and ward members brought us a lot of meals and clothing and toys for our baby, my husband's coworkers gave our sons gifts for their birthdays. They helped us get moved in and helped us find things we need as new homeowners too.
