Fear not for you did not commit those trespasses on your neighbor, for satan works through thee in many ways other than that. The important part is to be better and always ready scripture and the follow the beatitudes. Listen to Jesus’s words for they will deliver you from the depths.

Elder Dale G. Renlund is my favorite apostle although we shouldn't have one. Since he was a seventy, he always recalled this experience. Before as a newly returned from my mission, I did experience what he experience. I am grateful that he was too honest to share that message. It is a wake up call for us that no matter how hectic our schedule is, no matter what status in life we're in, we shouldn't let the adversary prevail in our life. My love from the Philippines ♥️💞

I've had a struggle to get dressed in Sunday clothes, during this COVID thing, just to attend the Zoom meeting for Sacrament. But I have a strong testimony of the things that are right. Today, I wanted to stay in bed and read and not get up and get dressed for "church". But I made myself do "what is right." Get dressed, attend Sacrament meeting on Zoom. There was a talk during that meeting that really lifted my spirits and I am so glad, once again, that I listened to the spirit in me saying "get dressed for Sacrament Meeting." Later my husband can prepare the Sacrament and we can celebrate that.

Thank you for sharing Bro Renlund. Yes, it takes effort in and amongst the busyness of life, and the fatigue of the mind and body to strive to have his spirit to be with us. I know Heavenly Father is touched when he sees his children pressing on despite the challenges. This is a beautiful reminder because this happens to all of us ❤️

In D&C 84, the Lord teaches that the one distinguishing characteristic of the righteous is that they will listen to the voice of the Spirit. The wicked won’t. Thank you Elder Renlund for being so transparent in this video. Thank you for reminding us of the need to cultivate the spirit every day in our lives in order to hear the voice of the Lord. 47 And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father. 51 For whoso cometh not unto me is under the bondage of sin. 52 And whoso receiveth not my voice is not acquainted with my voice, and is not of me. 53 And by this you may know the righteous from the wicked. . .

Hi @@MSBowen-pk6ww, many people are unaware that there are living apostles today, but we (as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) believe that Christ has re-founded HIs church after a falling away, based on a foundation of prophets and apostles just as he did at the time of His ministry. The apostles are Special Witnesses of the Savior. I would invite you to go to ChurchofJesusChrist.org and click on General Conference. Twice a year the apostles and other leaders of Christ's church speak to the world. As a Christian, I believe you will love hearing from these servents and witnesses of Jesus Christ.

In a very practical sense it's clear that we do make incorrect choices at times, and the blessings of repentance are always available to us, but this is a great statement about how seemingly small choices are still important. I know that there have been many times in my own past when things could have gone much worse, and I'm grateful for all of the positive influences in my life that helped me.

These private, personal choices to follow the spirit or the natural man are pivotal in our progress. I remember a time when I thought the gospel was very simple and I understood enough. My study slackened for years, and so did my testimony. What a wasted opportunity to learn. My pride stopped me from learning. Humility is a great teacher. Thank you for sharing Elder Renlund. Hey Elder Renlund. With the gift of discernment I know the differences between the whisperings in the library and the whisperings of the Spirit. There were a handful of Sunday's that I "skipped" Church and I did "feel" as though I didn't miss anything. However there were a handful of Sunday's when I missed my Ward's Sacrament Meeting and felt that I must attend Sacrament Meeting today somewhere👻Praying is a great blessing we have been given, and without the gift of Church to compliment that blessing we would be lost. Sincerely🖖😇

It is so easy to get caught up in anger with what we are seeing in the world today. Even if we are correct in our viewpoints if we let anger and animosity towards those on a different path who see things differently dominate our hearts and minds we lose. We lose compassion, we lose love, and ultimately lose the Spirit until we can humble ourselves and rid our hearts of those evils. One of the most amazing things Christ did on this earth was to have compassion and love for his enemies who were literally trying to destroy his life. And we have a tendency to let hatred and anger fester over trivial differences in the grand scheme of things.

I have been passing through a similar experience in my life, and I felt so much encouragement knowing that an apostle of Lord was once making the same mistakes as I. And he is right, After just two short weeks of striving to do what right, I already have my "zeal " back!
@talie62364 жыл бұрын
That “ZEAL”. It reminds me of the saying, “you don’t know how good you have it until it’s gone.” I humbly admit that I know all too well of recognizing the loss of ZEAL in finding joy in doing the things I know that invite the Spirit of the Lord and that are pleasing to our Father in heaven. What a joy it is to have it back! Thank you for sharing your testimony Elder Renlund. 💗

Thank you Elder Renlund for your testimony! You made me realize that if are closer to one who speaks quietly, the more we can hear them . The further away we are, the less we will hear. And so it is with the Lord. Like you, I also have found that as I move closer to my Savior and try to become like Him, I can hear the still small voice of His Spirit. But when I get busy and distracted, I distance myself from Him...and can't hear the voice of the Spirit...because the distractions of the world drown out the still small voice. You are awesome!!
